    • Fun for teacher
I am known as the Harry Potter teacher and found myself frequently using a red ruler to point at thing on the board, maps, and generally around the room. In a stroke a genius I saw this when looking for Halloween ideas. It is the best 10 bucks I have spent. It is obviously plastic but looks like wood. The wand is lightweight and easy to point with. There is a big button, easily reached and held, for turning on the light. The light isn't bright and the white tip keeps it from shining in peoples eyes but still draws my student's eyes where they need to go. You do have to keep holding the button down for the light to stay on but I like that feature since I don't have to worry about the light staying on and running down the battery.
