My son loves this! We are on the road a lot and the plan is for him to take it with him. We have to solve the problem with the pencil drawer though because it won’t stay closed on its own. If the pad is tilted, all the pencils fall out. Otherwise, it is excellent!

My initial review was a higher star rating because my older child loves his drawing board and it has worked well for months. I ended up purchasing another one for my younger child, but i didn’t realize that the light is inconsistent for the newer one we purchased. Sometimes, the light will be bright enough and then after a few minutes, maybe 5 minutes, it will dim. After it dims, regardless of whether you turn it on or off, it remains dim. We tried it again the following days, and it would do the same thing. We tried new batteries, same problem. It became useless really quick because he can’t even see to trace with having such a dim light. So dim it’s like not even lit. He’s only used it 4 times. It’s frustrating. The other inconsistency is that the colored pencil drawer is so tight in the old board we got, and it’s difficult for my kids to pull them. I even have a difficult time trying to pull it. In the newer one, it’s easier.

We got this for are 6 year old granddaughter that loves to draw. It was a hit. She spent hours tracing and drawing the first day she got it. Excellent product that gets kids away from technology and uses their artistic side of them.
