This thing is really cool. My son has loved it. It comes with all you need to get started. You do have to provide a couple C batteries to run it. It is very easy to use. He has enjoyed making creations experimenting with different techniques. I like the tray on the side for easy, neat storage. The 3D glasses are fun to use. The effect isn't profound, but it was entertaining enough for him. All in all, this is a fun, good quality set if your kid likes arts and crafts.

This spinning paint kit has been a hit with my 4.5 year old. She got this for Christmas and has gone back to use it a few times already in the first month since receiving it. It came with four bright neon paints that have a bit of a 3D effect when looked at with the 3D glasses. Looks cool, but it isn’t 3D like a red/blue glasses would give you a 3D effect. Setup is easy. Put some batteries in the bottom, drop one of the supplied papers into the holder and dock it on to the spinning spin in the recessed base. The recessed base is nice as it captures the paint that flings off of the paper when making your spiral design. So far it has been easy to clean up by wiping it down with a damp cloth after making a few paint designs. Our 4 year old is able to gently squeeze the paint out so not too much flys out at one time. When I run out of paint I suspect we will be able to use regular hobby paint with this, but it might need to be watered down a little bit or thinner added to help it spiral out on the paper when it drops. There are a few designs on some of the papers that you can paint on the back and then cut out to make it look like a peacock or dinosaur and a few other designs. You can also draw your own design on the back of the papers and then cut them out to make cute designs.

You need to buy 2 C batteries for it to work, it is not included. This is a great kit to start with, the actual spin art machine is sturdy and we have been using it multiple times a week. They have various blank papers provided including a glow-in-the-dark one. They also have stencils you can use. We've gone through all of the papers and I just made our own using the previous ones as a guide, it works fine. We've also used regular acrylic paint we have on hand and it works great. I usually clean it with a damp towel after each use and it still looks brand new. Even with a couple of stains, it will still work as intended. My son and I see little to no difference on the neon colors with the 3d glasses on, but the whole machine and experience is amazing! My 5-year-old can operate it without hiccups.

This is really fun to use but I was annoyed that it took two C batteries. I don't usually keep those around so I had to go buy some and it was just an extra step that I didn't need. I would've been nice if they had been included. Otherwise, this is a really fun project and the design makes it mess-free. You can literally sit on your couch and make art. The stencils are cool and I just wish that some of them were easier to cut out. Overall this is a fun project for everyone and the batteries really were the only reason I docked it a star.

I got this for my 6 year old for Christmas and he has played with it many times! This art station was super easy to set up, even my 6 year old can do it by himself. The included paints are nice and bright and create pretty artwork. My son had a hard time using the paint "sparingly" as suggested so we are unfortunately already out, but it will be easy to buy more paints and continue using this again and again. It's a fun process while doing it and the outcome is cool and different every time. I liked all the different papers included as well. Highly recommend this fun product!

This is such a fun craft activity and a very affordable price! My kids and I both had a blast using this to design different cards and such. The neon colors are very pretty and it comes with a lot of paint to do plenty of project. A very entertaining activity for both kids and adults!

My daughters (ages 10 and 13) had a blast experimenting with this. We're having super cold weather right now and they're stuck in the house. They spent a lot of time trying different methods of putting the paint on the spinner to see what effects it would give. There isn't a ton of paper or paint included, but for the price that's ok, and we can water down our own paint and cut our paper to fit the spinner. It works well and spins pretty fast. For the price, it's a great thing to have on hand for a day stuck inside.
