Originally received the wrong color and size, once we finally received the correct one it only took a few months for it to be trash. Very easy to break. Strings and bow seem very cheap and poorly made.

The Diorrin acoustic violin kit is great for a fair, entry level price. The kit includes a set of strings installed but untensioned, a set of strings in new packaging, A tuner to properly tension each string, Rosin to prime the bowstrings for playing, A shoulder rest for longer playing, and the bow with the instrument itself. You simply install the saddle piece and tension everything to the right note, adjust the spline tension for the bow and rosin it up, Optionally affix the shoulder rest attachment if you want to practice for a while, Then you're all set! I am a beginner at this, and this process was very quick to learn. There are even instructions included to get set up and the rest is self-explanatory. Diorrin also makes an electric kit that is not as loud acoustically, but I think sounds better when you use a decent pair of headphones or connect it to an audio interface. Any beginners willing to use that kind of equipment while they practice may have abetter experience with that kit, but if you insist on full acoustic then this is a great entry level kit!

Bought this as a gift for my sister. It arrived broken in several places and the material the instrument is made of is flimsy. It's not playable at all. The delivery driver threw it on the ground by the door when he delivered it.

I got this for my daughter who is 16. The large size is perfect, it sounds beautiful and comes with everything you need for starting out. The color on this is so professional it looks and sounds very expensive at a great price.
