I was looking for cowboy boots to go SASS shooting. I have an all black get-up. Silver guns. Silver bullets. Silver buckles. I was looking for black boots with silver on them. These fit the bill. I do NOT wear them all day. The comfort is OK...not uncomfortable, though. I wear an 11 EE shoe. I got 11 EEE. I was looking for a little more width in the toe area as they are pointed boots and I wanted my tootsies to be comfortable. They are a little big in length and OK in the toes. Any narrower and I would have returned them. I got them to fit a little better by cutting the toes off a "thicker" pair of socks and wearing them over a thin pair of socks. That allowed for no bulk in the toes... which made them comfortable in the toes and the thicker/double pair of socks in the arch and the ankle/heel made them fit perfectly in those areas. They now fit fine and they look just like I wanted for my outfit for shooting. I hope this helps. ... show more

I bought these boots last year not expecting much out of them. When they arrived I was thrilled that the product I got as what was pictured, and the fit was like a glove. I was expecting these to fall apart very quickly, but they have held up like superman during farm work and every day wear. They are water resistant, and comfortable to wear during a long day. The Bad: The metal trim on these boots bend very easily, and the metal piece on the heel of the boot bends inward and cuts into the leather, every time I pick them up I have to bend the piece back into place. ... show more

Probably the best combination of good looks and quality you can get for such a modest price. I've had these for over 6 months now and they still look great - The color/leather is surprisingly scuff and scratch resistant and the metal trim at the front and rear is sturdy so it wont be bending out of shape every time you happen to knock them into something. The top portion is so soft right out of the box, you don't even feel it on your calf. The leather over the foot portion is thin, but reinforced with other material underneath and is holding up very well. That being said, these may not last as well if employed as true work boots - but with the height of the heel, it's not what they're design for anyway. When brand new, the soles are unbelievably slippery, especially on carpet. So go out in the driveway and do the twist for a couple minutes and you'll have plenty of grip. I replaced the straps with a different style, but that's just personal taste. As for comfort, I can wear these all day and my feet feel great. ... show more

RUSTY HARDWARE AND SOLE SEPARATION ON “NEW” BOOTS. I ordered these for a trip I was making and I figured since JCPENNY sells these, they must be decent. I ordered them and you can see in the photos that there is sole separation. I thought maybe the metal toe piece was off center but it hooks on the bottom of the upper with a tab, and the fact I can see the tab tells me the boot was not made properly. The rusty hardware is extremely upsetting as well. On top of this Amazon is willing to give me $19.87. A sole repair will cost me at least $50. Currently on chat with Amazon customer support because this is insane, but I have no time to wait for a replacement. ... show more
