The bottoms are made of soft rubber and dont have that snug boot feel of the boots made years ago. If you like that soft feel, than this is the boot for you.. Had the same exact pair for almost 12 years before they blew out beyond repair. These boots are awesome, get gel insoles though. They are great for casual wear. It has a size guide, use it. I mean really use it. Not just "I wear a 9 in my sneakers, and a 14 in my slippers". Measure your foot and find the size on their chart. ... show more

Great boots. Unfortunately I've had to return 2 sets of these to find the right size. They run their sizes larger (had the same problem with another pair of quality boots from them), so I would recommend getting a size smaller to begin with.

Very well made boots. The uppers are leather and the rest is man made. The uppers are very soft and comfortable. Finger loops on either side of the boots make pulling them on a breeze. I bought this black pair so my husband would stop wearing his brown pair everyday. They were a little tighter than the brown pair. But he worn them for 2 days and now there fine. But then he had been wear his pair pair for a week. It also helped that when we got them we put on Nor-v-gen shoe paste. This is what our local boot cobbler recommend. ... show more

I have bought these boots before. The place I used to buy them went out of business. So I knew what size to buy. They fit great. Leather is stiffer than my old ones but maybe I forgot how long it takes to break them in. My old ones lasted several years by getting new heel's put on them when I wore them out. I had the shoe repair guy cut the hell's down and put thicker rubber heels on them. They are great riding boots for the price. They are also my work boots. Dingo.
