The 5 inch shroud and diamond wheel meshed up perfectly with my 20-volt Dewalt 4 inch angle grinder. Came with an assortment of adapters and a disk spacer. Only took five minutes to sort out the best combination and give it spin to check clearance. The spring loaded brush seal moves up and down in the shroud to keep a seal with the concrete. Only notable escape of dust is when the angle grinder is tilted perpendicular to the surface. The hose adapter included fit perfectly with my small Craftman shop vacuum (though not with my large Ridged). On occasion the hose would pop off from vigorous movement of the grinder, and would give you an on the spot example of just how well it contains the 95+ percent of the dust. Great tool cleaned off both the thinset and carpet glue I found under the tile after removing it with a hammer drill. Buy it! You will be glad you did. PS Wrote this after depleting four 5 Ah batteries while allowing my Dewalt to cool off. ... show more

Did a great job of containing the dust while grinding concrete. Worked well with the diamond cup wheel that I had. Also worked with a flap wheel I used for smoothing the surface. Would have been nice if there was a little depth adjustment, but that would probably have added cost. The hose adapter is only intended for small vacuum hoses, not the shop vac size. I’ve tried 3 shrouds this is the best one by far. Most shrouds move around on you while your working this one doesn’t. Only thing is I had to use washer from a different kit to get the right blade depth.

I needed to level out high spots in a concrete slab to prep for other flooring. I am using a 7" Hitachi angle grinder. This fit well and kept about 99% of the dust contained to the grinding area. Easy vacuum attaching also.

This product is junk. The instructions are a bad joke, a five year old child could do better. There is not enough clearance to use a 4.5” disc. Will not fit Dewalt or Makita. Whomever created this product should be forbidden from ever taking hands out of pockets.

For the price you can’t beat it. In big box stores this is more costly. Used to grind carpet glue off a concrete porch. Still has 99% life yet even after doing the full porch. Worth it!
