Fantastic purchase!! My phone's port was starting to go and instead of getting a new phone I bought 2 x 3-pack of these, which allowed me to get another ONE AND A HALF YEARS of use out of my old phone's finicky port. Just that makes it totally worth it, but now that I'm used to the magnetic chargers + tips I'm never going back. Unexpected benefits: - Way easier to plug in. The magnet is strong so just wave it near the charging port and it finds it way home. No fumbling, or having to figure out which way to orient the plug. Detaches easily, so I never bother actually unplugging. Just grab the phone and go. - Treat phone roughly without damaging it. The magnet is strong enough that I can drag the phone across the bed by pulling the cord, but if the phone falls off the table the magnet will easily detach and not yank/break the charging port. - Charge multiple port types off of one cord. I put the tips in all of my electronics and now don't have to think about what fits what. One cable fits everything. 👌🏻 - Red cable with the light in the end is easy to see/find/dig out of sofa at all hours of day and night. No more rooting around for the black cable in the black cushions/shadows. - Durability: All cables still work perfectly after 20 months and I am ROUGH with them. After over a year of daily use in my 5 yr old phone, the USB-C tip wore out and started being finicky (you can see the metal wearing out and a different metal underneath). Put a new tip in the phone and it worked perfectly again. This is 1yr AFTER I thought the port was long dead beyond repair. It's still kicking now 8 months later. 🤯 My $40 purchase of 6 cables + tip sets ended up buying me 2+ more years of use out of my phone, 6 fast charging cables compatible with every single electronic I own, and a much more pleasant charging experience on all my devices. Initially purchased this set for a Kindle Kid's Edition, and quickly came to find it useful for a plethora of other devices. I chose this set for two reasons: - The flatter shape allows for a better fit with cases, over the traditional round shape. - The manufacture also sells just tips, which means I can expand without having to pay for unnecessary cables. The set came in a small resealable bag, with each cord was also in its own bag, along with a yellow plastic "pry-bar" for each cable. The USB-C tips were pre-attached, and each cable came with the corresponding micro-USB and lighting charger tips, for a total of three different connection tips per cable. The tips themselves were easy to install and fit snugly, even with a protective case in place. To remove the tips, I did have to remove the case first, and use the plastic pry-bar, as the connection was tight, but given we do not plan on removing these tips often, I didn't find this a problem. What I love about the magnetic system in general, is that we now have one cable that we can connect to multiple devices, instead of having multiple cables at one location, and I even placed the extra tips on the fridge, in case visitors need a quick charge and forget their cable. If the quality of the tips holds up, we may end up expanding to all magnetic, especially since again, this vendor has the options to buy tips only, which is nice. UPDATE 1: I found out that in addition to the cables being fast charge and data capable, they also work with Android Auto. We just leave a cable in the car and connect it to the phone when we get in, easy peasy! UPDATE 2: as others have mentioned, the tips can break with minimal force, so be careful when disconnecting your device, as I've already lost two tips. To connect, I find that grabbing the cable by the cord and letting the magnet find it's target works best, and when disconnecting, gently "tipping" the base of the cable either left or right, will minimize any stress on the tip. To be clear: out of 8 tips in use, I've only lost 2, and most tips have held up against the occasional tug or accidental yank/trip. This came with 3x magnetic charging cords, 3x usb c adapters, 3x micro usb adapters, and 3x apple adapters. All of this for only $20. Plus the cables support fast charging on my phone. I had to take away a star because there's an annoyingly bright blue light that the charger puts off. As everyone probably knows, blue light disturbs sleep and most people charge phones in their bedrooms at night. I used a small piece of foil and some scotch tape to eliminate the issue, but I shouldn't have to do that. Also, the magnet could be a bit stronger. All things considered, this product is a good value with some minor design flaws. From a performance and maintenance perspective this will save your charging port from wear and tear, prevent debris from accumulating in the charging port, and still allow for fast charging. ... show more
