Seems just a touch small for a 14/16. More on the short side. I bought it for my 11 year old anticipating it to be a little large or at least long. The 14/16 measures about 18" across the chest and 23" in length.

Really unhappy! I ordered 2 shirts at the same time, same color, same size. They came in the same box but packaged differently. Upon opening, it was obvious that I received someone's return. The smaller, shrunken shirt obviously smells like it's been washed while the other still has the "new"/chemical type smell. The ONLY good thing about this is now I can see I need to return BOTH because once the new one shrinks it won't fit my child.

These held up till kiddo outgrew them, which is more than I can say for other companies I dislike school uniforms,on principle, but if he has got to wear them, might as well get something to last, right? These LAST. I would say order a size up but the sizes are kinda nutty. I had no problem ordering this for my kid who wears a smaller size everywhere else...just ordered a size larger. Lasted all year. I would say an xl would be around a men's small (large=around adult men's extra small). Kiddo is taller than me but weighs 10lbs less! I keep messing with him that all his summer clothes shopping is going to be about buying ME shirts for the future! These did the job, and held up well in the wash. I will get (bigger) ones again in the fall. I think you would have to purposely do something to them in order to tear them up. Kiddo says they are comfy. Good weight for warm or cool weather. Not sure how accurate that is, but he insisted on the short sleeves throughout Louisiana winter.

I was looking for an orange shirt delivered fast for a day where my son was supposed to wear orange to school. This Dixie's shirt worked out great. It is hard to find a nice true orange, but this one is the perfect shade. It is a lovely color to wear for Halloween, the pumpkin patch and other fall photo ops. The material seems high quality, but note that it is 60% cotton and 40% polyester. I normally think of a pique polo as 100% cotton, but it does have the same look. Also, although the listing photo appears to have plain pearl buttons, which I prefer, the shirt I received has orange buttons with Dickie's in small print. I found this size chart online, and it seems to be accurate. Dickie's Junior Fit: Small (6/8), Medium (10/12), Large (14/16), XL (18-20). The shirt I received was Medium (10/12) and is comparable to The Children's Place Large (10/12).

The quality is what I am looking for in a polo. Nice and thick material. However I ordered a 18/20 for my son who is 12 yrs old 100 lbs and approx 5ft5inch yes he is tall. He usually wears 14/16. However based on the reviews I chose to get him 18/20 I'm glad I did. I did a side by side comparison to another polo I just baught not washed as yet and they both are basically the same size. The only difference that I saw was a less than half inch difference in the width of the shirts. I will give an update when washed.

The item states it is a moisture wicking material. This is NOT at all moisture wicking this itwm is a standard polo shirt. The item also rums small. 60% cotton, moisture wicking shirts are not cotton!! My son is in Kindergarten, ordered medium and its small. He is average height and weight for a 5/6 yr old.

This shirt is a lot nicer than I expected for the price. While it's a 60/40 cotton-poly blend, it has a 'hand feel' of 100% Egyptian cotton. The shirt is well made with even stitching and no loose threads. The color is attractive, not too 'bright' for a boy (you know how boys are, I bought royal blue, which he likes, but it can't be too 'girly blue'). The width runs true-to-size. Some of my son's polo shirts come a bit longer than this one for his size. This shirt fits him perfectly because he is just short-of-average and husky. If you have a very tall, thin child (like my daughter is) you might want to take a measurement first to make sure you don't need to get the next larger size. For the $8.80 I spent for this shirt, I am VERY happy with the quality.
