This is a quality square-base round-lip set of 4 whiskey glasses; they were beautifully boxed, so A+ for first impression! I received this item as a gift for my birthday, and it certainly will help me to enjoy my new bottle of Woodford Reserve. I don't think this is the type of glass for a connoisseur to set off developing flavor profiles of adventurous new whiskeys. Rather, this is for the gentleman who already knows what lights his candle. After thanking my wife for this most thoughtful gift, I started to appreciate the diamond appearance of the glass walls. I became nostalgic for simpler times when one would get excited to be home after braving the cold to sit by a wood fire, warm the spirit, and relax - glass in-hand - with a stimulating literature. Beautiful glass and great feel but does not fit the oversized ice ball i use. The squared inside makes for slightly more difficult stirring.

These glasses are attractive and sturdy, and they come with four fun coasters to rest on. The products are very nice. My only beef was with the shipping. I placed the order on January 1st and they didn't arrive until January 10th, a little too long, in my opinion. But if waiting for their arrival is not a concern (and my transaction may have been a fluke, you may have better luck) then by all means I'd recommend them. ... show more

Just a comment for those that think the spelling was wrong. Scotland and Ireland are two of the most well know Whisky/Whiskey producers In the world. And despite the fact that they’re neighbors there are some pretty fundamental differences to how they do things. Scotch Whisky is always spelt without the E,whereas Irish Whiskey is always spelt with an E. Whiskey is the anglicised form of the Gaelic word uisge beatha. Gaelic is native to both Ireland and Scotland,so it’s hard to say where the e came from,but clearly it meant more to the Irish than the Scotland. ... show more
