I bought this for umpiring baseball games from 10u through HS varsity. I had previously used an other well know cup but experienced one or two mishaps on foul tips and wild pitches that bounced and came up in the groin that caused discomfort. After hearing other umpires swear by Diamond MMA I figured I would give it a try. Although almost 3x the cost of my previous protective cup after wearing it one time it’s completely worth it. The 4 way strap retention system does an amazing job of securing the cup without restricting movement. I literally forgot that I was wearing a Diamond MMA until I got home and an undressing. I have yet to take a direct or indirect hit and will update my review when I do. But for now don’t be scared away by the price tag, protecting your jewels is an investment.

Really protects the goods! As others have said, I found the actual cup to be a little wide and uncomfortable. Replaced it with another cup and fits great now. If you have a cup already, I'd recommend just getting the strap here.

I never thought that I would be reviewing a jock strap with cup, but this thing is awesome. Best cup I ever owned. My old cup was okay, but when I started Krav Maga, I found that a number of groin strikes came from underneath. After a couple of uncomfortable hits like this, I realized that my regular sports cup was design to only protect from frontal impact. I decided to search for a cup that had better protection for an angle-up shot. My research led me to the Diamond MMA Cup. I chose the jock strap version of this product as opposed to the briefs insert version. My belief is that the strap version will keep better positioning. This cup is very comfortable, doesn't slip out of position, and protects at every angle. If you are into any form of martial arts or MMA, this is the product for you.

I saw this product advertised some years earlier on Facebook and I was intrigued. Not gonna lie tho; I saw a YouTube video and what made me consider it was "they shot it with a gun (can't recall what gun) and the bullet didn't go all the way through!" The cup literally stopped a bullet! After seeing it on Amazon, it was pretty much an easy decision. When I had the funds... yeah. I wore it today (2-4-2025) in a no-gi BJJ class. I can't say I didn't safe down there as far as I know! Now if I was actually doing karate or kickboxing, I'm sure if I got nailed there, I'd feel it very little but I'd wince out of concern. I'm likely to buy another one of these when I get the funds because I should replace another cup I've had for over a decade.
