Great results, but the journey is long and hard...
Color: Grey
Let's get the good stuff out up front: the end result is great. Looks clean and nice, and is super comfortable. Seems well-built. I like that both sections can be adjusted individually, and have well-hidden legs in the zippered backs to support it when open. Overall, it's a huge improvement over what we had before for a pretty reasonable price. Now for the bad... Delivery: Frankly, I'm not sure Amazon should even be selling this, as the delivery companies are completely unprepared for it. In my case it was FedEx who seemed to go out of their way to find excuses not to deliver it, with claims of my gate not working, and claiming my "business" (home) was closed when I was actively home and no attempt was made to reach me. But eventually after much fighting with them over the phone, they arranged a time to deliver it. A rather small delivery person in a small van arrived and called me, and I met him out front. The box was impossibly large and heavy for him to manage on his own, and I had to help. While I was happy to do so, again, this is not something the delivery companies are apparently equipped to handle AT ALL. As we got it inside my apartment complex and to the staircase, we were faced with the impossibility of getting it up the stairs. And as we attempted to do so, parts began to fall out of the box, which had ALL FOUR corners destroyed. I think it might be smart for the company to reinforce the corners with some sort of corner plastic sheeting to prevent this in the future. We decided our only option was to rip open the box in the alleyway and carry the pieces up individually, with my fingers crossed the whole time that none were missing. Eventually they were all in and he was on his way. Assembly: Thankfully all the pieces were there. The company managed to pack everything small in a package kept between the cushions, ensuring it was safe from this sort of damage, with only the larger pieces on the outside. Instructions were mostly clear, although they warn of not over-tightening until done, but never indicate when to tighten and just how seriously they mean this. I eventually found with several components that not over-tightening basically meant to barely screw it in at all, because if it's even remotely close to its finished spot the holes no longer line up with the next steps. But then, on step 2, we ran into a serious problem. One of the side pieces had the wrong-sized screw holes in it for the hand-tightened, double-ended bolts provided. I couldn't get them to go in more than a smidge. Assuming it was me for a while, I then tried the other side piece and everything went in without a hitch. I tried several screws and all the holes and confirmed every single one on that side piece was wrong. I had to reach out to the company via the form on their website, and then had a back-and-forth via email with photos, proof of purchase, etc. They shipped a replacement which arrived TEN days later, but was functionally correct. The rest of the setup was rough. It's not easy to put together. Super heavy main unit, plus screw holes that are VERY hard to line up. If you're used to IKEA, this is definitely far from it. This process led to a lot of profanity and sweat and annoyance. But eventually it was complete, and you know the results. I do recommend this futon, but the warnings need to be heeded. Expect work, take not overtightening screws to its most extreme level, and have time, water (or something stronger), and calming music on hand. ... show more

Worth the price
Color: Mustard
This came in perfect condition and wasn’t too difficult to assemble. It does call for two people and that makes sense- I did build this by myself but it was a pain and took finding things that could hold pieces of the couch up at very specific angles. I think the color is exactly as shown and I’m so excited about that. My only nit-pick is that, when this is laid down in to a futon, the seat cushion part is obviously soft but the back rest is borderline rock hard. Not a big deal; it’s easily fixed with a mattress topper that I just keep rolled up and stored away when not in use. It’s just something to keep in mind! For the price, I love it ... show more

I love the quality of this couch/sleeper futon
Color: Grey
I love the quality of this couch/sleeper futon. It arrived in a timely manner, sooner than originally noted, box was tattered quite a bit but did not affect couch/futon. I like the linen fabric and color is nice but a little darker than I thought it would be. Still works for me though but a little bit lighter grey would have been great, like the photo. I put the couch together myself, took about a couple hours, but fairly easy and amazingly all the hardware was there, nothing missing !! For the low price, I have a pretty sturdy couch. I find the cushions are firm which I like, and they do have the coils in them, making it better than just foam. The legs are wood, not plastic, and sturdy with a middle leg where the back of couch folds down. There are two support legs hidden and easy to pull out, when using as a sleeper. I would highly recommend this futon/couch even though it has not been used yet as a sleeper. The only con I can see, if you are a pretty tall person, it might be a bit short for you, but for what I need it for - mostly my 13 year old grandson and his younger siblings, it works perfect. I think it would be fairly comfortable for sleeping too, firm yes, but there are always foam toppers I can use if I need to, but don't even think I will need to do this. I would order again, if I had a place for another one, and the price is very reasonable too for the quality it seems to be, and ease of putting together as well ! ... show more

Half Perfect
Was so excited when it came in a few weeks ago but I still haven’t to put it together. I got so I could sleep on it while I wait for my bed to come in. As a couch 10/10; super cute, the color is fantastic and really comfortable. It’s also the perfect size for a smaller or medium sized room. The rest of my rating is based off my experience sleeping on it the past couple days. Comfortability: 3/10 The bottom cushion is really comfortable but the top is harder which would make sense for a traditional couch but you would expect more from a futon. I recommend putting a REALLY thick blanket when sleeping because right in the middle there is a piece of metal that will mess up your back pretty bad. I’ve used a blanket underneath the last few nights but I can still only really sleep on half of it which is pretty uncomfortable. Size: 4/10 It’s a decent size, about a twin when it’s folded down. But I’m 5’4 and with the arm rest on it’s a tight fit laying down. It might work for taller people if they sleep side ways but then there’s the metal piece. Overall I would recommend if your looking for a couch not bed or place for guest to sleep. Your better off with an air mattress. ... show more
