Needed storage for my big matches and to avoid opening the matchbox for more matches so frequently. A tad pricey but I am glad I got them as they are used almost daily. They have a pleasant ‘feeling’ textured finish and are kinda cute. NOT plastic, so avoid dropping them.

Cute set. Jars are quite small but they work for me. You strike the match on a sticker that is placed on the bottom of the jar. Extra stickers are included.

So this an adorable little match holder, but the striking sticker will just not say on the bottom causing you to lose it if not paying eagle eye attention to it. A little frustrating.

Find something else. I had previously purchased as similar item from a small boutique in a tourist town for a lot more money. I liked it so much I thought I'd get another one and found these. Ugh what a waste. Beware that these are very tiny. For my application tiny is actually perfect, but if I were buying this for my fireplace I'd be very disappointed. And that's where perfect ends. I tried striking a match on the rough part of the ceramic, as I do on my boutique version, and the match would not light. You can see the green marks the match left on the item. Out of curiosity I looked underneath the base and saw what looks like match strike material from the side of a match box. Well that explains the extra dots in the packaging. The next time I picked up the unit, two days later, the dot fell off. You can also see how much has rubbed off of the match strike area with just two match strikes. These aren't going to last long at all and a few extra dots aren't going to make it through the summer. (Plan was to keep these near our mosquito coils on the deck). It may be more expensive, but better is out there. Look at the size, but definitely be sure that rough portion of the item itself is made to light matches.
