I'm using these cables to go from Panasonic GH5 cameras to my NinjaV recorders, usually anywhere from 20-50 feet away. They work flawlessly, every time. Of course, you must pay close attention, since the cables are directional, so always be sure you're attaching "source" to the source and "display" to the destination. Ask me how I know. ;) They're great cables, and to always have a dependable signal up to 50 feet away, is DEFINITELY worth the money!

I don't have any 8k displays to test this with, but it functions well enough with my lower-quality displays. One thing of note is that the cable itself is very physically sturdy; it feels very strong in my hands and the weight of it is palpable. If I had to make a prediction, I'd say that this will hold up pretty well in use where it's being frequently moved and reinstalled.

So far the fiber optic cables are working and it's been two weeks. Biggest problem is that most people don't know that there is a source side to the cable and a display side. If you hook them up backwards they won't work. I bought a pair of 30 foot cables that I had to cut and run through walls for a movie projector. The cables I bought were mislabeled and shows to source side on both cables. If I didn't know any better there would've been a good chance I'd have ran them backwards. Luckily I knew and was able to test them first and figured out which side was mislabeled. Hopefully the seller fixes this issue.

MAKE SURE YOU PAY ATTENTION TO DIRECTION! This HDMI does have a send side and a receive side. I was mostly trying to stop an issue I was having. I purchased an 8K high end TV to go with my Dolby Atmos receiver in a 11.2.2 setup. The problem I had was that when I tried to use ARC technology (to feed audio BACK to the receiver from the TV), the screen would black out exactly every 7 seconds and then come right back. As it turns out, it was my in-wall HDMI (or the patch cables, or the fittings). In any case, when I ran this from my TV to the AV rack directly, boom. Problem gone. The sleeved ends made pulling the old cable out and this one in a breeze and my problems are GONE! Oh what a difference this one cable made.

I purchased the 50' cable to run from my receiver to my projector. I've had issues with cables not working at all, working intermittently and with some cables producing a less than perfect picture. This cable, so far is producing a perfect picture with no hiccups. I will update this review if things change. Update: I am experiencing some audio and video drop out which happens sporadically while viewing 4k content. Very annoying and I cannot recommend this cable.

This fiber optic HDMI cable is a great way to transmit an 8K, 4K, or even HD signal a long distance. One of the ends is a transmitter, and the other end is the receiver. That means it needs to be plugged in a specific direction--unlike a regular wire HDMI cable where it doesn't matter which end is plugged in to the source and destination. If you plan to run this a long distance or through a wall, just be sure you are running it in the correct direction. Otherwise, you'll have to reverse it and run it again! There's also no external power source needed for this fiber optic cable to work, as it draws from the source HDMI connection to transmit the signal and convert it from electrical to optical and back to electrical HDMI signals. The cable has a smooth plastic covering the outside to protect it from damage. The cable cannot be bent at tight angles because of the delicate fiber optic inside. The manufacturer recommends having a bend radius of 40mm or more. Overall I would consider ordering this cable again whenever I need a long HDMI cable run.
