I bought these for my husband after knee replacement surgery. What a lifesaver. He wore them in the day of surgery and it made it so easy getting him dressed to come home and undressed to go to bed. The material is soft, warm and cozy but not at all heavy. The Velcro is strong but not difficult to open and close. They are perfect post-surgery for PT and wound care. Don’t hesitate to buy. My husband had a stroke & he has hard time opening his regular pants to use the toilet, so I look online to find a pants that fit to my husband's condition. He is not bed ridden, but his 1 arm movement is limited & is undergoing a physical therapy. This pants has velcro from top (waist line) to the bottom. He can easily open & close the pants to urinate due to the Velcro. This really helped. Cloth quality is good; not thin & not so thick, after laundry cloth still look good, color is blue & dark brown. Fitting is a loose style. He is 178 pounds, 5.11 height & large fits good, not so loose on the waistline. The only problem with this pants is the price...high price. I recently had hip replacement surgery so needed loose fitting pants to wear to hospital and for after care. These pants allowed care staff to open pants to various areas of interest. Unfortunately, I came home with a catheter so needed to have pants open for the tubing. Without these pants having flexible openings, I would have had to wear shorts or some other poor choice. The reason I do not give these pants 5 stars is that they are very long and as others have said, I had to have them shortened. In addition the size chart is not very accurate. I ordered a large which from the chart would appear too small. It was not and fit fine in all but length. The material is nice, light to medium weight which was OK with me. Would recommend because of the great flexibility. I have had no issues with the velcro not closing tight enough, there is no see through. ... show more

    • Knee Replacement Necessity!

I bought these for my husband prior to knee replacement surgery. Neither of us had any idea what to expect, and with therapy starting just days after surgery, I needed to get pants on him more easily than dressing a stiff legged Ken doll. These pants (I bought shorts, too) have been fantastic! They are easy on and off and even have pockets, which, yeah, that's a major selling point. Many reviews stated that they were long, so that was perk in my book as my husband's lounge pants often become capris after a couple of washes. These have washed well and I have not noticed a significant change in the length. These made follow up appointments and attaching the cryotherapy machine an absolute breeze. They are a great thickness, and while I was afraid the velcro might be uncomfortable, my husband said that was not an issue at all. Now, if you have Magic Mike aspirations, these are not the pants for starters. This velcro is stout. I mean, a wildly purposeful attempt might un-attach the velcro down to the knees, but you'll look like an amateur at best. This is not your average velcro. This is "not sold in stores" velcro. This is, protecting the family jewels and avoidance of indecent exposure charges velcro. I appreciate that, and so do the doctors, nurses, physical therapists, and every other soul we've encountered during recovery. They were definitely worth the price in my book. There were so may other things we had to figure out on the fly, fortunately pants (and keeping them on) was not one of them. ... show more

    • Nice pants - but bad seams and side openings need rework

The seaming was not exact. although these pants will work well for my situation, I was dismayed to find that the pocket on one side was not seamed correctly. I will have to sew it up before I use the pants. Seaming is an important part of clothing construction. As a seamstress, I am always disappointed when clothing is not seamed correctly. Also, at the pocket entry, there should be a hook and loop tab. Every time I try to put my hands in the pockets, I go through the open side seam to inside the pants.
