I’ve loved the cantilever design of the Magic Keyboard, but I don’t need the keyboard (not how I use the iPad) and…that price. Oof. Enter this little baby. Well priced (mine was on sale for $55). The good: The cantilever works great. The various configurations—typing, reading, watching at various angles—are much more stable than any other case I’ve had, with more variety, too. Love that the cantilever works both in portrait and landscape. Love how it can hover over my breakfast plate as I read the news in the morning. Love how the cover is removable leaving just the streamlined base case. The not so good: The magnets could be stronger. In landscape it’s ok, but it can be a bit fiddly in portrait. The magnets attach in landscape & portrait at basically 2 heights. In portrait it’s stable in both, but the lower height is very low. It landscape the lower level is stable, but the higher one is only stable at vertical or nearly so. These are minor quibbles, though. Every case I’ve had in a decade of iPads was even less stable and had far fewer available configurations. This one is fun to use and give my iPad that cantilevered lift at 1/6th the price of the 13in Magic Keyboard.

Bought this to not only protect my iPad, but to help my prop it up on airplane seat trays. Works good.. my only complaint is the weight. Whew, maesthe whole thing quite heavy. Fairly stable for the weight though and the hinge is quite nice.

Very disappointed as this product does not live up to the hype. ApplePro pencil will not charge when attached to the cover magnetically, despite the product’s claims. Cover must be removed every night to charge the pencil and then the pencil goes flat during the day because the magnetic dock on the cover interferes with charging. They weren’t joking when they stated it has a “collapsible base” - literally collapses every time I flip it to a 45 degree angle. Otherwise like the sleek design, magnetised attachment, covered edges and full cover on the pencil when case is closed; however, the design flaws mentioned above render this case essentially useless
