Fits my old J.C Penney Bench Grinder bought from an estate sale with a wire brush that threw out bristles like arrows at the Little Big Horn. Now no more wire found in my shirts or bouncing off my arms. Has adaptable spindle size. Might be hard to install if your grinder is as old as mine. Left side has reversed thread to keep discs from loosening during use. Most bench grinders use same spindle for both sides, so attepting to tighten one side, loosens the other. Use an impact drill or driver with a socket attachment and it will work out fine. Would not hesitate to buy again when the need arises. ... show more

I wear down 3 or 4 of these a year on the homestead, keeping tools and other things rust free. A crimped wire wheel medium face is just about right for most projects, where the .014 carbon wire wheel (DW4906) is too fine, falling apart quicker. I use it to remove rust, remove paint and polish metal, and it does a great job on everything. A user does have to bear in gently when using this wire wheels, otherwise wires bend and end up striking the wheel covers or flying off. While this wheel is not be as coarse or aggressive as the knotted wire ones, it does hold its own and in a pinch. I would definitely recommend this wire wheel to anyone who is considering it. ... show more
