This is really nice for outside work during Iowa winters. I typically will wear another jacket over this as well. One piece of advice is to just wear a T-shirt under this jacket. Wearing a sweatshirt under it will actually not be as warm, because it will be insulating you against the heat a bit. Should order it a bit small so it fits tightly. Much better to layer over top of this. A double stacked battery will fit in the interior zipper pocket if you don't mind the awkward bulge. The included single stack 2ah battery is alright, but doesn't last long on high heat. The power input of this jacket is a round 12v "barrel jack", NOT 5v USB. Keep that in mind if you plan on using other power sources than Dewalt batteries. ... show more

The liner seams came apart the second time I wore it. The coat is heavy because of the battery. I also own the high-vis DeWalt. I can't get replacement parts for because they discontinued the coat. I have replaced the adapter 3 times and it failed again! Don't waste your money. I replaced the high-vis coat with a Makita high-vis it is a much better coat and actually warmer. The adapter design is more durable on the Makita. Buy Makita you will be more satisfied with your purchase. ... show more

not really a soft shell jacket. but it is soft and comfortable. does have better heat system than the Milwaukee, but the Milwaukee is an actual soft shell fabric. fit was fine but not what i was looking for. returned it.

But the battery bulge is insane, especially considering the jacket is made to fit tightly, in my opinion. All my jackets are medium and have plenty of room, but this is very tight in a medium even without the battery. Speaking of the battery, not only is the battery already a bit chunky, but they made it even LARGER with the terribly designed adapter.
