This is one kick ass security screw driver set. It seems to have all the hard to get security bit that you'll ever need. It's very well put together and it's durable with excellent Craftsmanship. Purchased the Dewalt brand over generic equivalents because I wanted quality bits that would last. The case seems to be well made and most bits are in good condition. The exception is the 2mm hex bit which arrived deformed with a chunk missing from the tip. Considering how massive this defect is, I have to question the quality of the made in China set, especially considering the 40% price premium. ... show more

My boyfriend purchase this DEWALT tool set to remove a massive tool cage in the back of an old work van we just bought. These old tool cages are a pain in the neck to remove and it takes a ton of time to actually remove them. So he decided to get a special tool set to do this and make it an easier process. DEWALT is a great brand of tools it’s one of the better ones out there. This is the real thing, not a knockoff sold as DEWALT just so you know it comes in the original DEWALT packaging, and that’s important to know. Since all of us have ordered an item from a seller on Amazon who says the product is what it is but then you realize when you receive your order it comes in a plain box or bag. Not this one, it’s the real deal! 💯 The value was better than a big box store as well. And the order was shipped next day with Prime.     • You need this set for those pesky screws on the back of appliances
OK, maybe you should not be trying to remove the screws on the back of your microwave if you don't know what you are doing; you could get a 10k volt shock and die. I needed to replace a screw and used this set to remove the safety screws on the case cover. Very handy set. Assorted heads covers 90% of appliances. Surprising that the price was reasonable and delivery was Amazon fast. It was not available at the three local hardware stores so purchased online and delivered in two days. I have purchased it as a complement for my manual tools. It is very good for most home users for electrical and mechanical needs. It is not a set for precision mechanics like watch repair or fine electronics. It is good enough for home appliances and *some* electronics. Have in consideration although DeWalt bits are above the average for its quality, it isn't part of the top tier. If you use these tools heavily, I suggest you to go for a higher quality (and price) set. It is not a set to use with your impact driver. The bits will not support the mechanical stress for its material as well for the delicate format from some of the bits. Probably it will fit well in a standard drill but I prefer to use them manually... personally I never had, and I guess I will never will have, a substantial number of security screws to work at once, so manual handling looks me OK for just a few screws. The case is well constructed and probably it is used for other sets from Dewalt. It has a belt clip, something usually associated with a frequent used tool - not the case for security bits for a DIY.     • If you take stuff apart you WILL need this at some point, it's a great value
Even if you only occasionally tinker with fixing and taking things apart you will be stopped time and time again by various 'security' screws. At the price there is no reason not to get this set and have it on hand. These bits are hard and properly made so their edges won't break and round off the first time pressure is applied like the super-cheap no-name-brand specialty screwdrivers I've bought in the past. If you work on a lot of small electronics however, you will probably need some bits smaller than are included in here at some point. This is no reason however to not include this in your toolbox. ... show more

Good quality set for unusual fasteners. I was pleased to find this set as an alternative to the usual "bargain tool" product that come in sticky red plastic blocks. This set seems to be well-made, bits look centered and clean, and the storage block is very nice. This is definitely a better grade for "security bits" than the off-brand ones. It has a good variety of bits. However, if you are working on very tiny electronics, this might not go small enough. These are standard-size (1/4") hex drive bits. There are other miniature bit sets available for this (none from DeWalt as far as I know). So for a phone or game system, these may not be small enough. ... show more
