I am a home handyman with many small and large projects in early retirement. I am always leaving a screwdriver somewhere in the middle of a job and wandering around for 10 minutes looking for it. My knees are not what they used to be and the fewer climbs up and down the ladder the better. I chose this belt after looking at many other options. The belt itself is heavy nylon with a double buckle. It fits my 34 waist and will also fit when I slim down to 30 inches any day now :-) Looks like it will fit a much larger size as well. The extra belt length hangs a little in front but is not problematic for me. You can tuck it in if you like. An extra loop to hold it would be nice but you can easily make your own if necessary. The tool holder itself is thick top grain black leather that looks like it will last a lifetime - at least the rest of mine. It is big. I think if it hung only in front like others do that it would be in the way. On the side is perfect. There are 4 good size front pockets for tools, nails, screws, tape. 4 screwdriver or pencil loops. A hammer loop and a tape measure loop. I really like the fact that the tool holder slides to any position on the belt. I keep it on the side and I bought the dewalt drill/driver holster to hang on the other side. For me this is the perfect combo. You can have any config you want with other pieces such as electricians organizer, second hammer loop, etc. There is a wider, padded belt available but that seems more for the full time contractor. I use the holster I added for my impact driver and I hang my drill from the tool bag if needed. The holster has spots for multiple bits. This is a lot of weight but it beats going up and down the ladder balancing a bunch of tools. This is the exact configuration I had been looking for and is easy to change for my future needs. There is not much I would change or add except a sling loop to hold the excess belt length, very minor. I am looking forward to many years use.

This is a great belt. I dont wear this every day or professionally, I'm just a DIY'r and wear it on the weekends for projects or helping friends so I dont need a $500 Occidental rig. A speed square fits ok in the top pocket, about an 1 1/2 " sticks out of the top. The hammer loop is a little low but not a deal breaker as I usually wear a separate one on the other side and use the one on the bag to hang a nail gun. Plenty of room for knives, pencils, level , chalk box and any other items commonly used. The belt in comfortable and even fits my dewalt electricians bag I have.

i have been in search for a new tool belt for some time now. i came a cross this dewalt 10-pocket leather tool belt and it caught my attention so i ordered one. first in impressions was it was light weight and it seemed top quality leather which it is! fits all my tools perfect i did add another small 5 tool pouch on the other side since it only comes with one tool pouch. also i did not like the belt it came with so i got another tool belt from dewalt. it was the 5ich padded belt the sell by its self! highly recommended you do so!

I have owned a few tool belts in my days and this is one of the best tool belts I own. It is made of a top grain leather which withstands regular hard use. I have not had an issue with the black coming off on my clothes as some have mentioned in other reviews. The pockets are a good size and the tab for the tape measure is an added bonus not found on other tool belts. I am still in the process of breaking it in but so far it has been impressive. 12/2/12: I thought I would do an update on this as I've used this for more than 2 years and I have to say it just gets better with age. Its hard to be on a work site without it on my side. I have found that it continues to stand the test of time. The nylon loop for the cat's paw is slightly frayed (doesn't look new) but otherwise it functions like new. I highly recommend this nail/tool pouch.

AWESOME POUCH ! ONLY 2 THINGS I DONT LIKE ABOUT IT! THE HUMMER HUNGER ...IT TO LOW AND THEN YOU HAVE THE HUMMER ON IT ...IT KEEPS HITTING YOUR KNEES AND THE SECOND THING IS THAT TAPE HOLDER IS TO CLOSE TO ONE OF THE POUCH PACKET ...NOT EASY TO GET THE TAPE IN AND OUT !

I've been wearing this several hours per week for about 3 months. The good: Thick, robust leather, and decent belt hardware. Fits my XL frame. Snappy Dewalt black/yellow appearance... The bad: The front tape measure pocket isn't large enough for Dewalt's high quality 25 foot tape measure! Not being able to easily pull my favorite tape out is a huge pain. I had hoped the pocket would break in/loosen up, but it hasn't. It's still a, gnarly, two handed extraction process... I wear khaki shorts in summer, with the slightest hint of sweat the leather is staining my shorts black. The (snap in) metal hammer holster has torn a few pairs of shorts when in certain positions. It has a burr or something. The stitching on one of the handle grabs has already let go, exposing the blue rubber insert. Makes me wonder what other stitching is going to give up. I thought this would serve me for years of rigorous Harry-Homeownering, it'll probably sit in a bin... It's price is just OK, I don't feel it's a lot of value (as many have reviewed.) This belt is an OK product that Dewalt has farmed out, but it is not rock solid awesome like everything else I have with a DEWALT logo. (I haven't found myself bragging on it like I do with almost all my other DEWALT gear.)
