  • My Favorite Mower!!!
I have always owned self-propelled gas lawn mowers. When my last one broke down, I purchased another from the marketplace. That one lasted for a month. I attempted to repair the gas mower to no avail. As I was struggling to wash the gas smell off my hands, I decided I was going electric (boogie, woogie, woogie!) I am a fan of DeWalt tools, and this mower serves to justify my fandom. I felt like a kid opening a gift. The mower comes 90% assembled. Quality built product. The included batteries arrive minimally charged. The first charge took about 4 hours. We had several days of rain and finally got a few hours of clear skies. The grass was about six inches. I set the mower at 4 inches and gave it a go. I was expecting the mower and I to struggle. Especially me with trying my first push mower. No struggle for either one of us. No need for self-propelled mower is easy to push. The mower is remarkably quieter than a gas mower. I especially like the auto-sensing motor that adjusts RPM as needed. The ability to fold and stow is another plus. The huge advantage of this mower is I no longer have to worry about buying oil, gas, or sparkplugs. The best part is no more loud noise and fumes! ... show more

  • Extremely light duty
Extremely light duty I have a medium sized yard and have used a corded electric mower for over a decade with positive results. I read positive reviews of this item so decided to order it, thinking it would save me the time spent on cord management. It arrived just in time for the first mow of the spring; my grass was ready to be mowed, but was not long. Box arrived beat up with a hole in the side but nothing seemed out of place except the side grass blocker was broken. I charged both batteries to 100%. This mower died frequently. If there was a change in angle of the soil, it died. If the grass was slightly thicker in one place, it died. Even going slow. Because of its light weight it bounced around if there was any surface out of level, dislodging a battery at one point. I had to really slow down for the mower to be able to deal with mowing…well, grass. It was very much walking on eggshells. The batteries finally died halfway through mowing my yard. Thankfully I have a backup 12” reel mower that finished the job without blinking, and proved itself to be a far superior machine. This mower cannot be considered as a serious yard tool. Considering this product rates fairly in the marketplace, I read that as evidence that cordless technology still isn’t there yet. Save your money and buy an entry level gas mower—or honestly anything designed to actually mow grass--and you’ll be worlds ahead. In general like the Dewalt brand, but I’ve never used a mower this bad. ... show more

  • Best Value in a Long Time
Needed a new lawn mower and was considering a battery powered one. Saw this version of Dewalt for $399 which included two 10AH 20 volt batteries and had to buy it. These batteries typically run $200 or more. So getting two of them in this package is like getting the lawn mower for free. The lawn mower itself is one of the better mowers I have had. The handle is tall and feels very comfortable to hold. The wheels are easily adjusted. The handle can be folded down allowing for storage in cramped spaces. Definitely recommend looking at this mower when it’s time to replace or upgrade your mower. ... show more

  • It have just enough battery life to mow my yard.
My yard is not huge, but I do have a front yard and a back yard I mow each week. I have just enough battery to mow both, but I must charge the batteries before I can weed eat or blow the grass. I would recommend always recharging right away after use. I do like the way it folds up for easy storage, and it definitely takes up less space! It is also pretty quiet, so I do like that feature! ... show more

  • Good Buy no major issues
Came with two huge batteries but with one low end charger. I have a normal yard on a quarter acre lot. After mowing the back yard, I still had three lights on the batteries. Motor will automatically rev up when hitting thicker grass. It feels weird to stand it up and fold it but it doesn't have oil or gas. I would venture to say the blades move just as fast as a normal mower, just a softer engine. ... show more

  • make sure Batteries Charge properly. Had problems with charging the 10amp ones.
Like the mower itself. mows well and enough power to plow thru the rough stuff. Its strong and durable. I have had three. Make sure to oil the bearings after a few weeks. Flip and oil the ring under the prop for smoother performance. Again, make sure batteries charge. It takes two full charges of the batteries for my lawn. Love the cut and the ease of use. ... show more

  • Absolutely junk, do not buy.
Lasted one season. It shuts off every time it starts mowing the grass. And no, it is not wet or overgrown. It's only grown an inch since the last cut. Battery life is terrible, and the mower has always been underpowered. Have to push it very slow to let it keep up. I have a very small yard, maybe 1/10 acre and I had to routinely charge batteries to finish. Keeping the batteries and junking the mower. Back to gas. ... show more

  • All the features of a Gas Powered Mower with out the mess
Great mower nice wide mowing path. The 10 amp hour batteries last for me mowing both front and back yard without needing to be charged. I have used the bagger and the side discharge with no issues. Lawn looks like it has been groomed nice clean cuts. Low noise no need for ear protection. I would give it a 6 star rating if it were possible. Big plus I am not creating and new Ozone gasses. ... show more
