I’m a comercial Tire technician and I can tell you from experience this impact is awesome it’s capable of removing most car and light truck lug nuts. There’s an occasional lug nut every so often that was over torqued or severely rusted that it takes extra impacting to remove it (that’s when I whip out my Dewalt DCF900) but for most cases this light weight and compact impact does the job. I've been searching for one for my husband for a gift. Saw this and was a lithe skeptical on the lower price. It's a brand new one, bare tool, which i knew. Can't go wrong with DeWalt!

Only thing that would make this better is if the anvil had a regular ball and spring retainer. The "hog ring" style is crap. After a few times taking sockets on and off they get loose and you get a lot of exercise and frustration leaning over to pick up that socket that just fell off. I did find a great workaround for this problem by using a short 1/2 inch long extension. If the extension is left in place the hog ring doesn't wear out and as a plus it can be removed to make the tool shorter for those times it ends up a little too long. ... show more
