  • Best Affordable Cordless Drill/Driver: Unleash Excellence at a Budget!
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
I purchased the DEWALT 20V Max Cordless Drill/Driver Kit (DCD771C2) to tackle various DIY projects around my home, and it has exceeded my expectations. Right from the unboxing, the compact and lightweight design of the drill caught my eye. It fits comfortably in hand, making it easy to work in tight spaces for extended periods. The high-speed transmission with 2-speed variations is a boon, allowing for a wide range of drilling and driving applications. Whether it's assembling furniture, hanging pictures, or more heavy-duty drilling, this drill has the power to get the job done efficiently. The battery life is commendable, providing ample run time to complete my projects without constant recharging. One aspect that stands out is the inclusion of a 1/2-inch single sleeve ratcheting chuck that provides a tight bit gripping strength, ensuring the bits stay in place during high torque applications. This feature has saved me from the frustration of bits slipping out in the middle of a task. Now, on to a minor downside. The kit could benefit from a better selection of included bits. The basic ones provided are good to get started, but for more varied tasks, you'll need to invest in additional bits. However, this is a minor hiccup considering the drill's performance and affordability. The DEWALT DCD771C2 is an excellent choice for both DIY enthusiasts and professionals on a budget. Its performance, ease of use, and the reliability that comes with the DEWALT brand makes it a value-for-money investment for a wide range of drilling and driving needs. I highly recommend this Cordless Drill/Driver Kit to anyone in need of a power-packed, reliable, and budget-friendly tool for their toolkit. ... show more

  • Awesome torque and a great value
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
Let this be your first and last drill. This kit includes a nice drill, charger, battery and bag. I bought this as a gift after getting the drill for myself a couple of years back. I couldn't believe the torque this has! When drilling 1" holes in 2x4s, one time the bit caught and I thought the drill was going to break my arm with all the torque it has! 😆 There's no job I've needed to do that it can't do. So when I saw a drill was on the recipient's gift list, I knew exactly which one I planned on getting. I've since expanded my lineup and the 20v batteries are interchangeable among many tools. ... show more

  • Solid drill
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
I like the two-battery package (absolutely great), the battery life of the batteries, and the ergonomic design that fits comfortably in my hand. The speed of the item getting to me, and its trustworthiness.

  • Nicely designed, but will it last???
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
I bought 3 drills. I'll list pros and cons of each. 1. Random name brand, item B07VFCR85S. This one feels good in the hand, has good controls and a good balanced feel, similar to a DeWalt. It's very lightweight. The battery charger is very basic and tiny, fitting inside the case. Comes with 2 batteries, some cheap bits, which works for the most part, and a hard case. Overall, good starter drill set. Batteries last a long time even after hours of usage. It also has a light that tells you how much battery is left. However, it's got a 3/8 chuck so it won't be able to use big 1/2 inch drill bits. 2. DeWalt DCD771C2, item B00ET5VMTU. Good ergonomic design. Comes with 2 batteries and a decent bag to carry other tools, which you need to buy. Doesn't come with anything. Noisy motor clicks after releasing trigger. Would have been nice to have a hard case though. 3. Worx WX102L, item B08XSJ6B13. Comes with 1 battery and a very cheap carry bag, similar to cheap reusable bags, and no real tools. The design is poorly thought out. The shorter back end means as you pick up the drill, it is heavier on the front end and the tool starts to droop forward. It's not balanced. It also feels a slight bit heavier. The battery release button is in the back, not the front so it's very awkward to remove. The other two drills, you basically cup the bottom of the battery and press the release with your thumb and slide. This one, you have to reverse your hand, press with your thumb and have to spread your fingers to hold the front end of the battery. Harder to do and very awkward. The alternative is you point the drill to your face to remove the battery. Also, the 1 and 2 speeds are not in the same position as the other two drills. Finally, the controls are not fine like the other two drills. Barely pressing the trigger sends a lot of power and it starts spinning rapidly. After releasing the trigger, the DeWalt stops spinning immediately whereas this one continues to spin for a second. Going to return the Worx. BTW, sparks are normal for non-brushless motors. Brushless motors don't spark and lasts longer. ... show more

  • So far I love it
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
Man, I wasn't happy to find how expensive little drills are lol. Anyway, I splurged for the brand name because it's kind of an investment, really and it sure has made my life a lot easier. Mounting shelves and coat hooks and putting together furniture and everything since we moved into our first home...if you're waivering because of the price, just pay the couple extra bucks. It's worth it. It's lightweight, but sturdy. The battery seems to last forever, I don't think I've *had* to charge it once. I did put it on the charger after I had to drill a couple huge holes for anchors into the wall studs (didn't use a stud finder, found out halfway through the project I was mounting it right on top of a stud...oops!) just because I was really putting it to work for a solid hour and didn't want to get caught in the middle of something and run out of battery later. And the built in light was a godsend during that aforementioned project. ... show more

  • Like it, but not overwhelmed
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
The big disappointment I have with this tool is the short battery life. This particular Dewalt comes with two batteries that do allow me to keep going all day. I have a Black and Decker that cost $40 less, but the batteries last three times longer. The Dewalt does have that extra speed shift which I do like. I believe Stanley owns both Dewalt and Black and Decker. It’s like do you want the Suburban or the Escalade. ... show more

  • Best drill for the price right now!
Style: Compact Drill/Driver
Great little drill. Good torque and comfortable to handle. Price is fantastic for a two battery system. Don't miss out on this one!
