  • Works Like a Champ!
Style: Tool Kit
I am building two pedestals to support two Talavera pots to enhance our entry walkway. I needed to glue the veneer stone to the base. I used construction adhesive in a caulking gun but found the adhesive so thick I could barely pull the trigger. My hands were extremely stiff and painful the next morning. I could hardly clench my fists. I have a number of battery operated tools by DeWalt and decided to see if they had a electric caulking gun. I found this one on amazon. I ordered it. It works like a champ! So simple to use. It is well balanced and very easy to control the flow and volume of adhesive. It took no time to learn how to use it and I finished the application of stone in a very short time. This tool has become one of my favorites! If your hands are getting old like mine, you need this tool for caulking. For the rest of you - its just a great tool to have for fixing up you home! ... show more

  • Love it!
Style: Tool Kit
I bought this because I had thumb surgery and knew if I had to do more than 2 sealants on the RV roof, my hand would be exhausted. Although a bit big and heavy, I LOVE IT! I can lay down 8-12 tubes in no time and with little hand pressure. This makes fast work of a tedious job. I have also used it in the roof corners when necessary and this lays caulking there on a low speed just fine too. I have not tried other ones as all my tools are Dewalt, but love that they all use the same batteries. A real time saver on big jobs! Cost feels a bit pricey but when my coworker dropped it from the roof, he replaced an $80 piece and it’s perfect. So, it’s proved to be durable as well! ... show more

  • "No-Drip" it isn't.
Style: Tool Kit
Works pretty well, but "No Drip" it is not. The plunger retracts slightly when you release the trigger, but I found that it wasn't enough to prevent the caulk from dripping. I was using a no-sag latex caulk, which is generally thicker than a self-leveling type. It's easy to clean up if you keep a wet cloth nearby. Just wipe the tool off as you go. I ran 6 tubes of No-sag Concrete sealant through it without a hitch. It would be nice if they had a 28-ounce tube holder in addition to the 19-ounce one. Update: This tool works best with Cardboard Caulk tubes. Plastic tubes tend to fail and eject caulk out the back of the tube onto the plunger. I had the tool set at its lowest setting, and 2 tubes failed. It took about 30 minutes, midway through my project, to clean the tool. Additional note: When prepping each tube of caulk, I make sure to pierce the nozzle seal 4-5 times to prevent any back pressure. This technique does not help as much with the plastic tubes. ... show more

  • Great tool!
Style: Tool Kit
This auto caulking gun is great and has made the difficult job of using epoxy adhesive into an easy job. Hand epoxy guns are difficult and slow to use. This gun makes it so much easier and 10 times faster.

  • We had to install about 350 cartridges of epoxy
Style: Tool Kit
This tool saved the job, there was no way to push the very dense 300 cartridges by hand. This gun will blow up the cartridges if the material does not flow! We had to heat up the cartridges on the sun to prevent this from happening. I have 0 complains about this marvelous tool. God bless whoever came up with the idea. We had bought a Ridgit one before this one, but it was not strong enough to push the epoxy. ... show more

  • Awesome tool
Style: Tool Kit
I'm building new home and this tool is AWESOME. Just load in the caulk, pull the trigger and go. It can get ahead of itself, but I am a novice user. Also, keeps pumping out even after you stop. You need to disengage to get it to truly stop pushing out caulk. Beats the heck out of hand pumping out caulk. Highly recommend. ... show more

  • DIDN'T STOP DISPENSING CAULK WHEN THE TRIGGER WAS RELEASED
Style: Tool Kit
This gun would be great when putting up lots of siding, flooring, paneling, etc. I had lots of caulking to do but around doors, baseboards, trim, etc. The gun seemed too bulky for that purpose. It was also advertised to stop dispensing caulk when the trigger was released, but I found that to not be true. Though the plunger does back up when the trigger is released, caulk continued to be dispensed. There were just too many negatives, so I returned the gun. ... show more

My husband's hands hurt all the time. This gun makes epoxying so much easier and less time consuming. Thanks DEWALT
