This is a quiet vacuum. I have both DeWalt vacuums of this size, and the Stealthsonic is noticeably quieter. The suction is the same for both. Worth the cost if you want a quieter shop.

Only had this 13 months and barely use it and something is wrong with it, doesn’t sound right! One day something in the engine just switched and it’s not pulling as much as it used to. That’s a lot of money!

    • Super quiet, easy to maneuver for its size, decen suction

I was blown away at how quiet it is compared to my old Craftsman shop vac that finally gave up the ghost after twenty years. Apparently the technology has come a long way. The larger rear wheels make this way easier to move around on uneven and loose surfaces compared to only having the small casters for all 4 wheels, but the overall size and the large handle on the back, while making it easier to push and pull, also makes it harder to fit in smaller spaces. The handle on top of the motor/lid makes it easy to pick up the whole vacuum and to remove the top for emptying. It accommodates disposable paper bags, but note if you don't plan to use these you ideally will have to remove the tool caddy/bag *and* the maneuvering handle in order to turn it over to empty it. Kind of a pain but I guess it's designed to work with the bags that you just lift out instead of turning it over to dump out. The tools and accessories are all fine, and it's nice to have the caddy on board to store everything. The rubber strap for the hose works great, and the hose locks securely to the vacuum so you can reliably pull it around by the hose. The suction was a little bit disappointing - I've found that it will not really pick up larger nails and screws very well at all, which my old one sucked up without missing a beat. I suppose that's a trade off for it being so quiet. Overall pretty satisfied. ... show more

Very quiet. My shop is in lower level of house, can barely hear it upstairs. EXCELLENT pickup, easy to move around. Major upgrade from my 18 year old Sears vacuum. As far as the bags go, there are some problems, can't respond yet, haven't filled one yet .

The media could not be loaded. The vacuum is very easy to assemble. It is lightweight and easy to drag due to the four wheels. The suction is quite powerful and the noise is much smaller especially compared to my previous one. I have a blower at home but definitely need a vacuum. It makes my garage and yard super clean.
