I read that one should not sharpen a blade unless it costs more than $20 USD. These come in much less, so they are a bargain, but they dull rather quickly. This is the fourth set I have purchased. I use my 12" chop saw about 2x as much as my table saw. The TS uses Ridge Carbide 40T general purpose blades with 1/8" kerf. These kerfs are thinner and should last longer by comparison. On the upside, they do cut clean (especially the 80T) and in the multiple sets I have owned, they are all well balanced with negligible vibration. ... show more

I bought this set mainly for the 60T blade, but also to have a backup blade for the one that came with the saw. I was doing some finish work with laminate and the 60T blade cuts through it like a dream. There were no nicks or chips, just a nice clean cut.
