Solid once it is put together. Since it is a plastic material parts snap together very tight. Screws used only for lids and a cover for exposed plastic. (screws also for bottle opener and small side container) Directions are not clear and if you miss a step you have to put some muscle in snapping pieces together. Had to remove a piece that I had snapped together by mistake with a screwdriver. The fit was that tight. Even after prying and bending the plastic with the screwdriver plastic stayed intact. So overall a good product just directions for assembly were a little wacka doodle... ... show more

Update: used it a few times now and it’s still nice, but when the ice starts to melt it leaks from the plug, just like another reviewer mentioned. Leaks right onto the shelf. We didn’t like that it has a plastic lining material that clips onto the actual cooler. We prefer the insulated hard lining coolers. We kept it because it was $27 to return It does look nice and has storage underneath and bottle opener
