I just got a good deal for this 55inch desk. Once built, the desk is incredibly sturdy. I put a fair bit of weight and pressure on it, and there is virtually no wobble or shake. The finish is beautiful, and all the connections fit snugly, suggesting excellent manufacturing tolerances. My only issue is that the manufacturer uses a type of protective packaging that consists of thousands of small, highly static, Styrofoam (the kind that breaks apart easily) and strands. When you open the box, these strands will immediately go everywhere. They cling to everything like the floor, the desk pieces, your clothes, and the air itself. It is, without exaggeration, the messiest piece of furniture I have ever unpacked. This isn't just a slight inconvenience; it's a major cleanup operation. Do not attempt to unbox this indoors on carpet or you will regret it instantly. I recommend buying a can of anti-static spray and prepare for a half-hour of dedicated cleanup. You'll be happy with the desk, just not the unboxing process. ... show more
