I would like a a little wider base, because my older projector still feels a little top heavy and I'm nervous to let anything bump it. I'm sure the stand is perfect for newer smaller projectors. The base is still a convenient holder for my phone or tablet. Left alone, it worked fine and I was able to project movies without propping it up with random books and things.

It comes in 3 pieces. There are no instructions it was a little intuitive to set up. I had to unscrew the bottom piece of the long pole and hammer it in to get it in the base. Then I was able to screw it back together. The top of the pole area loosens to extend and tightens to hold. It holds up my medium sized projector. A smaller projector would be perfect for this contraption. The larger projector holds but tilts on the ball (not as stiff as I would like it to be.) otherwise, this is an easy way to mount a projector without nails and walls or ceilings. Affordable price.

Height of the pole is adjustable. Top ball joint lets you position the projector at just the right angle.
