    • Fixed my vapor lock issues

I used this heat sleeve to cover metal fuel line in my classic car that was having some vapor lock issues. This along with some custom-made shields for the fuel pump seem to fix my issue. Great product and brand-name, would buy again if needed.

I used this on the wires that go to the starter on a 2008 Jeep Wrangler. The insulation on the wire that energizes the starter solenoid had melted even with the factory starter heat shield in place. This Jeep has a design problem because the catalytic converters are very close to the starter. This heat shield work great for this application and solved the problem. ... show more

    • Expensive heat protection but worth it
Size: 1" I.D.
I bougt the 1" heat sheath to protect the exhuast from my diesel heater from melting the fuel line. The cheap chinese stuff works ok but this stuff is much better. The inner fiberglass insulation is coated by a tougher alumnum outer coating. It's very easy to slide over the 1" exhaust tube and keeps heat away from the plastic fuel line. I had an extar 8" and covered the fuel line too so I'm double protected. Highly recommend spending the extra $$ for the good stuff if it's for safety. It's very ewsy to cut with a pair of scissors and it doesn't fray as easily as the cheap stuff does. ... show more
