This is great rope for the price, albeit not climbing rope. Id advise not using it for any body weight bearing task short of a rope swing or similar use. I am using it for dog leashes because I have a chewer and it works great for that. It's a bit stiff and the inner core is not twisted lines like you would get with a higher quality rope. That is fine though, it's cheap, low stretch, and durable. Edit: I have been using some of this for hanging a large tarp while camping, I needed more so I got some of the blue rope, I'm not sure if they updated there process or if it's from the color difference ( got the orange before). But the new rope is more plyable and it does have a stranded core. It it a better rope overall. I still wouldn't climb with it. But it's better and I was already satisfied. ... show more

Of course don't put your life on it, but a good haul/break rope for the cost. Multiple years of drag use at this point. Load indicators popped accordingly when tested.

I primarily bought thise rope as safety rope permanently affixed to hunting treestands when climbing. These ropes remain outside year round. So I can't actually rate this product for actual rock or mountain climbing, but it more than fills the bill as it is being used for the stated purpose. Since I just purchased it this year I can't speak to any UV degradation but so far seems to be holding up great. ... show more

Cheap rope. Please don't even consider using it for climbing or any kind of work that could result in loss is life from failure. Outer sheath had a few defects and is very thin when compared to my BlueWater rope. I used it to make two tree swings for my kids and it works great for that!
