For some reason my ten-year-old stepson really really wanted a violin for his birthday. He doesn't have any music class in school yet but had such an interest in playing the violin he wanted one of his own so he could learn by himself. I thought this one was very reasonably priced especially for the fact that it comes with a case rosin and everything you need. It even does come with some instructions on how to get the violin ready although they are kind of vague and don't really give a lot of information to a first-time violinist. When I first got this violin the strings were tight and all in the wrong spaces and I thought it was broken, but I was able to loosen the strings put them in the correct places put the bridge in and then tighten it up again all in the correct places this time. Everything seems pretty good and it's generally okay made. It's definitely not a high-end violin but a great violin for beginners and very cool that it comes in a multitude of colors. We managed to get it up and running although he still has a lot to learn on how to play it. I wish it came with a little bit more in-depth instructions or even a link to a video or something on instructions on how to play a violin would be pretty cool. The case is really nice and everything though so we're pretty happy with this purchase and he was super ecstatic. ... show more

When it came in it had cobwebs or something all over it so wasn't too happy I had to deep clean it before I could use my violin. However, it is a good beginner violin.

When I got this violin, it was very nicely packaged in a box. Took it out qnd assembled, but the strings won't stay tight. The tuning turners won't stay in one spot. The strings are very poor cause one just snapped off after a half turn of the tuner. I'm interested in keeping this instrument, but not without a few modifications (Strings and tuning knobs) ... show more

When it came, it was not in a box; it was delivered in a bag(very unprofessional) The bow hairs were matted together and the violin had to be put together. It was very cheap looking. I am a violinist and it is a toy. You pay for quality but some things you can buy that are cheap and it’s useable. Very bad experience and I’m so sorry beciase I don’t like to give negative reviews. I wouldn’t even give this to a beginner. Though the color of the actual violin is BEAUTIFUL! ... show more
