My typical brand is Loreal true match N4. I have light skin and some rosacea. I am starting some fluorouracil on my face and read someone used this brand to cover up the sores and whatnot that will appear. It's pricey compared to what I usually spend so I figured it must be good. Looking at the chart and the colors was of no help at all so I actually ordered three different shades and hoped one would work and I would return the other two since returns are so easy with Amazon. I didn't realize one of them was not coming from Amazon and was going to take 3-5 days to get here. Luckily I noticed it and looked more into it because I know returns are harder when they are shipped by third parties. Since this shade I knew I wouldn't even have to try, lightest of the three(15C) I worked on getting the order cancelled since it hadn't shipped yet. I still haven't heard back from the seller but if it comes I'll just return it since I won't need to even open the package and hopefully I won't have any issues getting my refund. So I ordered 15C, 30N and 37N. There wasn't much to choose from the cooler shades so neutral it would have to be. When I took the 30N and 37N out and compared to my usual shade, I almost didn't even try it because the colors were so very different. Both bottles of the Dermablend looked to me to have a lot of yellow to it, compared to my usual brand, and I wasn't even going to try it because I figured there was no way they would actually work. I'm not sure how it all works but the 37N was a perfect color for me. The 30N was still too light and I knew then the 15C was out. I am amazed at how little of this product you need. The directions say 4 drops max. I used 2 drops but since I was only checking how it blended I may need that 3rd drop if I want complete coverage. It blended easily with a brush. I read some people add it to their moisturizer so I tried that on one side and it does thin it out a bit and lightens the color up slightly so maybe on a day where you just want light coverage, you can do that. I may have to update my review after I actually use it for awhile, but my first impression is good and that's why I only gave it 4 stars as of now until I actually use it for awhile. So I actually ended up returning this. Second time using it I literally couldn't get anything from the dropper. I shook the bottle very vigorously thinking maybe it was just too thick. Nothing. Couldn't get a drop from the dropper. Empty bottle? Maybe. I ordered a new bottle from Ulta and I can actually hear the liquid when I shake it.. The dropper is still hard to work with but I can get something from it now. Maybe they need to make a bigger dropper. I am confident this bottle actually has product in it versus the bottle I bought on Amazon.

I was born with a birthmark on my left cheek under my eye. I am 62 years old and struggled with makeup for years. I've worn makeup since the 6th grade. Always thick and cakey. This the first foundation that I've ever used that conceals and yet it's so light. I love the feel, feels like I'm not wearing anything. Sometimes, I forget to wash my face before bed at night. This foundation is pure magic! I don’t know how they did it. It goes on SO smooth, blurs everything! It’s very lightweight and you don’t need a lot at all, so I see the bottle lasting quite a while. It blends very well into my skin and lasts all day without smudging or budging. I have very very oily skin and this does the job. I’ve tried about every foundation possible over the years, no joke. This is my new favorite for sure.

Color: 85N: Deep skin with neutral undertones
I purchased this product for help in the treatment of melasma. I am african American and post birth of my son now 1&1/2, still breastfeeding I have had persistent melasma in my smile lines. Most sunscreen on the market does not contain enough iron oxides protect against visible light, which worsens melasma and PIH in A.A skin, more than other ethnicities. Most tinted mineral sunscreens are formulated for fair skin. I am of deeper complexion and have had a hard time finding mineral sunscreen to suit my sensitive skin NC50-MAC . I was recommended the 85N in dermablend which is a little dark and red for my skin tone, but 60N was too light. I can have the best of both worlds without having to spend $30+ per ounce of tinted sunscreen for my skin. I use etude house sunscreen after letting actives and moisturizer set up. I apply my sunscreen and chase my toddler around while it sets up. I mix a drop of dermablend with more of the same sunscreen to make it tinted. Apply, and I have a tinted sunscreen as my "makeup layer" I would prefer to not have to wear any makeup, but due to melasma I have to wear something with iron oxides. This has been a staple in my daily routines it gives the look of no makeup, yet it blurs my melasma and beauty Mark's. Per my dermatologist applied this way won't ruin the integrity of my sunscreen, and I have the visible light protection I desperately need. Using this daily along with other actives and hats has helped tremendously. & chemical peels. ***this stuff is thick, I would not apply as foundation unless you like cake face. The bottle has the worst the squeeze nozzle. It does not pick up much product. The foundation is also very red toned for my skin, i am very yellow undertones, but since it is mixed in a white zinc oxide sunscreen it dissipates and blends seamlessly. This is pretty expensive for the tiny bottle but it stretches since it is pure pigments. Hope this helps.

This foundation is smfull coverage and hides acne, dark spots and blemishes very well. It’s on the thicker side in consistency but still goes on smooth. It feels kinda heavy on your skin tho but if you want a full coverage that actually does why you need it to do then it’s going to be a little heavy feeling. It is expensive for a foundation but I’ve spent so much money on products that didn’t cover like it claimed so it’s kinda worth paying a little more and knowing that it will actually do what it says.

Color: 20W: Fair skin with Warm undertones
I initiated a return for this item, as I found it significantly cheaper on another website (a sale was the reason). I did attempt to shake the bottle when I first received it, and noticed that it seemed as though no product was moving. After opening (no factory seal) and squeezing the dropper bulb, absolutely NO product was drawn into the dropper. Only product was what clung to the dropper and inside of the bottle. I did order this item from the sale site, and have received it. I would give the product 5 stars, but not the one I receiced from Amazon. However, there was not any kind of safety seal on the new bottle, nor was there one on the box that the bottle came in. Kind of scary. But the product is great!
