  • Worked great on my NA and NB.
I've installed one of these kits on my '92 and my '99. Everything worked great, install was easy, and both cars worked flawlessly afterward. On my '92, the OE fuel pump connector plugged right into the pump, no cutting or splicing required! My '99 required the provided connector to be spliced in, but it was straightforward with wire crimps and the butt connectors. The lower rubber isolator doesn't fit into the bottom of the pump like the original, but it fits well enough to work fine. On my '92, I used a zip tie to replace the original rubber band that helps secure the pump to the assembly. ... show more

  • Miata fuel pump
Ended up not needing it because I had rodent wire damage. I have used this pump before in the past on a different Miata and I can say it worked great! If I needed it I know it would’ve done a great job

  • Reliable Replacement for Stock Fuel Pump
My fuel pump was failing on my car and wanted a reliable, less expensive replacement than the Mazda dealership. I've replaced several high mileage Denso parts on my Honda, and felt comfortable buying this for my Miata. The install is straight forward - removed the bottom portion of the carpet covering the rear deck (no need to remove all the grommets or carpet). I placed a plastic bag down as I took off the pressurized hoses to reduce spillage, then removed the eight screws. It's a close fit, however you'll need to cut and crimp the wires. Easy enough. The entire removal took about 1.5 hours. Longer than it should have, had difficulty in low light. It's been running strong, no complaints! ... show more

  • Good brand at good price
As others have mentioned, this pump is not a direct plug ‘n play fit for all cars it is intended to be installed in. This was the case for my 2001 miata. Had to splice in the electrical connection for the new pump. Also no new bottom mount rubber isolator is included, so you’re forced to reuse factory mount which doesn’t mate up to the new pump perfectly. However when all is said and done, the pump works fine and is just as quiet as the factory pump (at least for now, only time will tell as far as long term reliability). Better than paying double or more for oem from the stealership. ... show more

  • Easy OEM replacement, great price. No complaints!
Very, very inexpensive compared to other brands. Included extra adaptors presumably so it could be installed in different cars. This model comes with the strainer bag, which is nice, because it must be purchased separately if you go with some other brands. Install took less than 45 mins for me, a novice home mechanic, to put in my '99 Miata. The only scary part was removing the old fuel pump and dealing with gasoline drips in close proximity to my carpet, upholstery and soft-top. The new fuel pump "sings" a bit-- I'd describe it as a soft whirring sound when I put the pedal down, which I don't recall prior to the change. It's not distracting, and my Miata is noisy enough that I don't typically hear it anyway. This may not be noticeable at all for a sedan where the fuel pump is hidden away, but in the MX-5 the tank and pump are directly behind the seats under a thin layer of carpet. ... show more

Worked perfectly on my NA miata

  • Perfect
Had my fuel pump go out prematurely on my Miata. Thankfully they are cheap and so easy to replace! Cannot beat the price on this one! Direct plug and play kit. Highly recommended.
