This pen works flawlessly for the new fold 7. I know I was worried about it not working since I read that the pens dont work with the new folds since they removed some hardware to make the phone slimmer. But I tried this because it says the pen was made for it and it does. Even with writing and drawing. It draws and writes smooth straight lines, not the squiggly lines that the ones with batteries that are supposed to work with the fold 7s do. And the case itself feels like its quality made. I got the brown case and it looks and feels like leather. And with the card holders for atleast 2 cards is awesome. Now I dont have to worry about leaving my wallet home anymore. As for the protection, if the phone was closed and in this case and if I dropped it from a normal height, I feel like it would be completely fine. All in all I am happy with this case, definitely feels like money well spent. UPDATE: Returned because the pens rubber rips after only being used a handful of times, was sent another and the same thing happened within a weeks time

This case covers the phone and protects it whenever it's closed and not in use. It also comes with a simple "Capacitance Pen" but that's where the positives end for me. The functionality of this case is awful. It does not work as a stand, as was advertised. The pen holder gets in the way of simply holding the phone in your hands, but at least it is removable; that was pretty forward thinking of the design team! The case is thin, but awkward to hold because the flaps are constantly in the way. This looks as weird as it is uncomfortable to use. The magnet likes to flop over and slap the main screen pretty hard. Don't get this case unless you're feeling masochistic and enjoy suffering.
