Baby has not arrived yet. But we got the espresso colored version and like the crib so far. The color is beautiful and goes well with our color scheme. We shopped around quite a bit before settling on this crib. The selection in stores alternated from being cheap dollar-store plastic on one extreme to 2-ton, bank-busting behemoths on the the other. I feel like we found an affordable middle option. The size/bulk is reasonable for a small room, but it does not feel cheap or microscopic, either. It was packed with thoughtful care. The part box was wedged in tight, but there was a ribbon especially for pulling it out. For people who have reviewed and complained that the parts came scratched or damaged, I can only conclude they were very unlucky, the retailer/shipper was careless, or they scratched it up while unpacking and assembling. Assembly was pretty simple. Unlike a lot of furniture assembled from box, everything seemed to fit and slide in smoothly, except one screw that had required the Allen wrench's attention from the first twist. But even that went in properly in the end. A couple of screws had some scrap or flash that had to be picked off. Again, not a big deal. Plus, there are spare parts included. I've glanced at negative reviews to see if I can help resolve concerns raised by those for others who might be considering crib but concerned. There are people complaining about off-gassing. We have smelt absolutely nothing from this crib. There are people complaining about toddler bed thingy not being included. That is true, but it is also true for pretty much every single crib out there. If you want to convert from crib to toddler bed or whatever, you will have to buy the kit. ... show more

Gotta say that I was blown away at the quality of this crib. The thing is absolutely gorgeous and looks way more expensive than it is. I got the espresso brown color and it was totally blemish free and didnt have a harsh smell like some reviewers have mentioned. The bed is super sturdy and easy to put together, anyone could do it. All of the tools and nuts and bolts were included, and the instructions were clear and straightforward for the most part. A few parts required some more careful reading, but I was rushing around so any mistakes were my fault lol. Great value and I'm 100% satisfied. I'd buy it again any day. ... show more

It is very easy to assemble. I did it myself, 7 mo pregnant)) it's very clear, step by step. And the furniture itself looks great and feels great. Most reviews say about a strong chemical smell, I didn't feel it much. It has a smell like anything new you buy, shoes have stronger smell when new 😄 In general I love it so far. The crib is really beautiful in my opinion once it is put together, but man are those directions difficult if you dont read very carefully. the first like 3 pages are just parts and descriptions so we couldnt figure out how to put it together right away. after searching and discovering we werent actually reading the directions at that point it was much easier lol. our parts were labeled incorrectly at one of the steps which threw us off because it makes sure to point out that two of the stickers go together on the inside, but they most certainly didnt or the screw holes wouldnt have lined up when all was said and done and we would have had to make new holes. After all the crazy stuff though the crib is beautiful and I am glad we got it. oh, a plus is that it has a little set up for you to put directions and extra parts in when you are done assembling which I LOVE becasue when we have to take it apart to move in may, theres no way we'd remember how to put it back together. great idea whoever thought of that!! ... show more

I bought this before my child was born and after 6 years we finally got him a bigger bed. That entire time, we had zero issues with the bed and were able to adjust it as he got bigger.
