To make the Portofino even more special, its attached changing table includes a bonus waterproof diaper changing pad and safety strap — allowing you to change your baby on an easy-to-wipe, secure, and convenient surface. The Portofino is GREENGUARD Gold Certified, crafted from pine wood, engineered wood, and wood composites, and its applied finish has been tested to meet or exceed the applicable ASTM and CPSIA safety standards. The Portofino is Baby Safety Alliance Verified — meaning it’s been expert tested by third-party, accredited laboratories to meet or exceed all of the applicable category voluntary and mandatory safety standards. Designed to adapt to your growing baby, the Portofino’s adjustable mattress support base has 4 different height options, so the mattress support base’s position can be lowered as your child grows (please note, this crib may only be used until your child can easily climb out or is taller than 35 inches (89 cm). To support your child’s journey from babyhood to toddlerhood (and beyond), the Portofino is able to be converted from a crib to a toddler bed (compatible with 1 or 2 toddler safety guardrails – each sold separately), daybed, and full-size bed with headboard and optional footboard (compatible Storkcraft full-size bed conversion kit sold separately). The Storkcraft Portofino 5-in-1 Convertible Crib & Changer is designed to accommodate any standard full-size crib & toddler mattress (mattress sold separately — we recommend any Graco mattress). • Sturdy, Beautiful, and Practical Baby Crib
This Storkcraft Portofino 5-in-1 crib is very sturdy and beautiful. It is easy to assemble and does not take up too much space. I like that it can be used through different stages as the baby grows. It feels safe, well made, and worth the price.

  • 2. Great Space-Saving Nursery Solution with Long-Term Value
The Storkcraft Portofino 5-in-1 Convertible Crib & Changer is a solid mid-range choice if you want a multi-functional nursery set that adapts as your child grows. Its convertible design and built-in storage make it a space-efficient solution for many families. However, be prepared for some assembly effort and potentially ordering additional conversion hardware down the line. If you value long-term use and classic design, this crib offers good versatility and safety value for the price. ... show more

  • Favorite crib design, change table and drawers are nice feature
Went with this crib design (curved front and back top edges) to avoid the potential pinch points in the other designs. The add on change table is great, but it's a touch smaller than a standard change table so pad covers will be a bit too big. The crib went together well and looks good as built, and I was very pleased to see that it includes most of the necessary parts to change it into a day-bed and a regular bed. The drawers have decent quality slides and work well. My only disappointment with this was a ding in the top edge of one of the pre-assembled sections; the piece in question was way inside the package so it would have been damaged at the factory not in shipping. Not a big enough deal to warrant an exchange though. ... show more

  • Very solid, Not difficult to assemble
Our little one hasn't made her appearance yet, but we're really excited about this crib. It's very heavy, so unless you can handle getting it inside by yourself make sure you have someone lined up to help you the day it's being delivered. I got mine inside the door then opened it there and carried all the various pieces upstairs, which wasn't too bad. It just meant it had to be done on the day it showed up. As far as assembly, it took me around 2.5 hours to do it by myself. My wife offered moral support but that was about the limit. The instructions weren't always the best. There are a lot of pre-drilled holes in the frame so that the crib can be converted to the daybed, toddler bed, and then to the headboard/foot-board of a full size bed, so it was sometimes confusing which hole out of 3 you were supposed to be putting the bolt through. At the end of the day, though, if you were assembling it correctly then it made it obvious what screw went where. Two assembly points. First, during the assembly of the shelves, at one point it says you need to lay the whole dresser part on its side. This wasn't necessary, I put all the pieces in with it standing upright with no problem. Because I had all the pieces sitting around it, there was no way I could have tipped it over. Second, if possible, assemble it in the center of the room then move it against the wall. There are some screws that go in the back of it that were really difficult to get in without good access to all four sides of the crib. Pros: Very Sturdy Nice clean finished look Nice size changing table (with pad included) Pre-drilled Cons: Not the best instructions Very heavy/hard to move Lots of extra pieces to store for when you want to convert the bed to its other forms ... show more

  • Safety Hazard
DO NOT BUY… SERIOUS SAFETY HAZARD FOR KIDS SAFETY.. The product has multiple manufacturing defects. There are visible gaps along both the front and back railings, and with minimal pressure my finger became stuck in the gap. This raises a serious safety concern, as a child’s finger could easily get trapped as well. I contacted customer service to request a replacement only for the defective part. The manufacturer refused the request outright without providing any explanation, not even a courtesy follow-up email. It took an entire day to assemble the product. Now customer service is asking me to spend more time disassembling and returning it in order to receive a refund. I’m a full time working dad-to-be. Neither I nor my pregnant wife has time & energy to spend on these stupid requests. I even offered them to send someone and take it back. Really disappointed from amazon support as well. I had better hopes from at least amazon. ... show more

  • Horrible instructions, but beautiful crib
I started assembling the crib by myself at around 1:30pm, and finished at 6:30pm. I am in my third trimester, so I was taking many breaks, and was also cooking within that time as well (just to give you an idea of how long it took me to assemble myself). I had no patience to wait for my husband to come home from work, and assembled as soon as it came in the mail. The instructions were absolutely horrible. They were also incomplete. The were many steps in the pictures that were not written out, so a lot of it I just had to figure out on my own. I kept a ruler nearby so I can measure the bolts and screws to make sure I was using the correct sizes. Absolutely nothing was labeled. Most of it was pretty easy to figure out though. Some steps I wish would've been done before others. Overall, the actual assembly was pretty easy. The crib looks absolutely beautiful, and I can't wait to use it. All of my baby's clothes fit in the drawers, so that saves on having to buy a dresser. The shelves on the back of the changer are very convenient for diapers, wipes, etc. The changing table is a very awkward size. It is 27.5" x 16". Extremely difficult to find a better changing pad to fit it. It does come with one, but it's very thin. I ended up making my own. It was really easy, so feel free to ask if your curious. All the parts were in almost perfect condition. Only one board had a bent corner, but it's not visible, and it did not affect assembly. I did accidentally drop one off the pieces due to the horrible instructions, and that piece has a scratch on it now. I really wish it came with a white paint pen to fix scratches. My husband didn't even notice it, so it's not that bad. ... show more
