Let's just be real - this is a plastic "car" bed. It is way more expensive than I wish I would have to pay for it, but I suppose my kid's excitement to have a "car" bed has no price. Now, let's get into the details: -It's wobbly. There are no screws holding the sides, they just slide into slots, so if you move the bed the sides may come apart. No big deal, just slide them back. -Believe the reviews, the stickers are a pain the #%$ to apply and (due to some of the surface not being flat) they will eventually lift and bubble no matter how careful you are with your application (and trust me, I know how to apply stickers!) Your kid will probably end up picking the stickers at some point. If you are a perfectionist like me, the sloppy looking bubbling stickers will drive you crazy. -You will need a twin sized box spring. Otherwise, the mattress will lay on the floor and your kid will have to climb in and out of the bed, kinda like a playpen with a mattress inside. Dumb. We bought this for our sons 2nd birthday upgrading him from the crib he was jumping out of to a twin big-boy bed (I would definitely recommend skipping the toddler option for this frame, it’s already too expensive). We bought a 10 in mattress separately which fits perfect and gives him a little bumber you can see in the pics. Set-up took quite a while because we had to place all the stickers on and there are no labels on the stickers which made it more difficult. Because of the curves in the frame, it’s hard to place the stickers without getting some kind of fold or unevenness which is annoying if you’re a perfectionist like me. My son already ripped part of the sticker off because it was sticking up at one curve. Other than the stickers, set up was pretty simple and easy. And at the end of the day, it looks great! I just wish it came painted on already. -And that’s the reason I feel it should be cheaper price because for the price that you pay, I SHOULD come painted on already! ... show more

So I have had this bed for about 2 weeks now for my 4 year old and we absolutely love it! It shipped great and on time and putting the bed together was easy (with a drill). I read through reviews before purchasing and they are dead on. The stickers suck but don't look bad at all. Someone wrote to do the side of the bed that isn't visible as there is a learning curve with the stickers and we didnt. Bad idea hahahaha. The only thing we messed up was we accidently switched the "95" stickers. They could have labeled the stickers better but for the price, we are very happy and completely satisfied! My son is SOOOOO in love with the bed and with the bedding, you can't even see the stickers that much. We see the imperfections because we put them on but other people don't notice anything. Lets face it, we all want to make our kids/grandkids happy. Well, this Gigi is not happy with this purchase. Very poor quality. My grandson loves "lightning McQueen" so getting him this bed for Christmas was very exciting, until my very capable, patient husband began to put it together. He can assemble and fix just about anything but when things arrive so poorly it made it a challenge. Things did not align. He was able to assemble it and attempt the stickers (which should be on before it arrives). The instructions for the stickers were confusing and once he was able to figure out where they all should go it was impossible to get them to stick securely. And, if they did stick an hour later they were all bubbling/peeling off. Honestly, I feel this product is overpriced for the poor quality and time you need to spend. I know its a temporary bed for a child but that doesn't mean we should settle for less. I would NOT purchase this bed. ... show more

The bed itself is great, well built, very sturdy but two things keeping it from 5 stars is the stickers. Placing the stickers is AWFUL. Even if you use sticker adhesive or modge podge the stickers will still bubble up with a humid room. I wish the decals were already made on the bed somehow. Secondly, we bought a twin mattress and there is still a gap in the bed, I have to stuff one side with blankets as my son always likes to sleep anywhere but the middle. We do not have a box spring under the mattress as we did not want him falling out of it as we would rather him sleep on the floor essentially. Oh and lastly I never received the night light headlights that are supposed to come with it. 3 out of 5 stars. If I could I would return and get a different bed but my son loves lightening McQueen so much that we are stuck with it ... show more
