Normally I wouldn’t give one star for a user error when I purchase something and upon arrival I realize that in the fine print (which I didn’t read) what I bought won’t my expectations. However for this I will give just one star. Seriously it’s 2020 and this monitor only comes with one input....and it’s a VGA port. It’s like buying a time machine to 1995. At least it should come with an AOL CD ROM and a coupon to circuit city. I’ll be returning it shortly to Amazon and buying one that comes with an input port that was made in this century.

This monitor is really good for normal computer use and maybe some light gaming that is not graphics intense. If you are a gamer you probably are not looking at this monitor anyway. Some graphics cards out there cost more that a laptop computer; so a $65 monitor is not what you want. A serious gaming monitor should have an HDMI output. This monitor is VGA. Now lets get to the normal use people like myself. I need something affordable and with great picture quality. It also needed to be VGA, I will elaborate on that later. I basically shop online and do a lot of Microsoft Office stuff like Word and Excel. This monitor is the size I need and the pictures seems to be sharper compared to my older monitor. I needed a VGA output because I have several computer hooked up to a KVM switch that uses VGA. A KVM switch is where you have several computers hooked up to one mouse, keyboard and monitor. With the KVM switch you are able to toggle back and forth between computers. I had a custom built computer with Windows 10 on it. All the other computers displayed fine on my monitor except for the Windows 10 machine. After many adjustments and setting the display quality was poor. I realized I needed a new monitor that had a VGA output. I did some searching and found this monitor. I am pleased to say this monitor works well with my Windows 10 machine. Bottom line this is a great affordable monitor for people who still need VGA and are not heavy gamers.

When I first got this Dell monitor it looked nice but when plugged in my son had to sort out the brightness and contrast issues because words couldn't be seen well enough to read. After a while he realized he had to calibrate this PC's monitor on Windows 10 so went into Window's Calibration program. He got everything working right; though questioned my purchase. A few days later I noticed while in Word documents and using the thesaurus, the letters in the thesaurus had red shadows. Then a week later the screen started jumping every so often. I don’t know what to expect in the future using this monitor. I bought a replacement that my son picked out. This monitor shouldn’t have the Dell name on it. I cannot recommend this product.

This monitors dimensions are horrible! I have multiple Dell monitors and there are all proportionately sized and flawless. But DELL really missed this up they slim'ed down the width to 9 inches on a 20 in monitor. The stands adjustments are all most worthless as it hardly even moves. Also side viewing is horrid if your not looking at the monitor head on it suffers from a huge amount of white saturation and discoloration. I was really let down for the price of this monitor go look for some thing else this it is at the bottom of the barrel.

I was looking for an inexpensive monitor for my work Optiplex 760. When it comes to buying things like monitors, it can get pretty confusing and complicated. Not b/c of manufacturers specs, but instead b/c of reviews!! I can’t tell if they’re real or fake when people are like “BLACK DOTS EVERYWHERE!!!” Sometimes it scares me away from getting stuff. Okay, on to the screen, I bought this screen for work, so I wasn’t looking for crazy good HD etc etc when I’d just be staring at excel spreadsheets and a few websites. If your like me, then this screen will be great. Good build quality, I’ve had it for a few months now and I can report there are no problems.

When a monitor 'dies', I always look for Dell to purchase. The quality is excellent and am not able to rate the gaming part as I don't do any gaming. The brightness ..Yes, indeed so bright and I couldn't see how to adjust it...so, my 'guru' came and easy peasy, adjusted it for me. All in all, the picture quality is outstanding and I most highly recommend this monitor.

Dell monitors are known to have self-destructing power supplies in them. I've been through at least 20 of them over the years. I'm sure this one is made to self-destruct after two years like the rest, but it's a good monitor under $100.00. I usually buy refurbished Dell monitors but thought I'd give a new one a shot from Amazon. We'll see how long it lasts.
