Followed "Thee Burger Dude" Vegan Home Made Deli Meat recipe. Rolled the "meat" close to the shape of the press. Inserted the "meat" into one of the bags provided, then into the press, and steamed it for 45 minutes (to 180 degrees). Let the press sit on a counter to cool to room temp; overnight in the fridge. Sliced it this morning......delicious. The press gets a 10 out of 10. - Works as described - the "meat" I prepared is firm (the spring is good!) and the press is solid and will last a long time. - The press is easy to clean. ... show more

    • Thermometer reads 220f at room temp
Good quality press, but the thermometer starts at 210f cold then the needle goes around to 120f when it heats up. I think the cardboard backing was put in wrong, but either way, I had to buy another thermometer to use.
