This is a pretty good basic tool kit overall, but a couple on elements could be improved. I ordered this to bring over when I helped my mom move into a 55+ community & I knew she didn't really have many tools on hand to tackle small jobs that we'd need to handle. This kit was great for that. We got a lot of use out of the hammer, screwdriver, box cutter, scissors, measuring tape, and even one of the hex keys. It's an excellent kit for small household tasks. Where it falls short is the storage. It's great that it's designed with slotted spaces to hold all of the tools. But it doesn't actually hold everything securely in place as it should. So you might open the case & the hammer could fall out. And depending on how/ where you open it, that could mean it mars your counter, your floor, or even hurts your foot. There were also a few pieces that had an industrial scent, do if you're sensitive to things off gassing, then you might want to air it out before using.

A well equipped starter tool kit that offers good value, although the storage case could be much better. This 39 piece DEKOPRO household tool kit includes the basic tools needed for everyday home repairs, furniture assembly, crafts, and other small projects. It comes in a compact plastic case that keeps everything organized and easy to store. The kit arrived in an Amazon box with no damage and very little unnecessary packaging. Everything was already organized inside the case and ready to use. The biggest disappointment is the locking mechanism on the toolbox. The plastic clips that hold the case closed feel awkward to operate and do not stay attached very well. They need to be slid open at the same time before opening the case, and they often slide completely off and fall out. It works, but it is definitely the weakest part of the entire kit. The tools themselves are much better than I expected for the price. They are not professional grade, but they also do not feel like disposable bargain tools. The steel construction feels solid enough for routine household tasks, and the handles provide a comfortable grip. Every tool fits securely in the molded storage tray, making it easy to keep everything organized after use. The bright pink color gives the kit a fun appearance without affecting its practicality. The selection of tools is well thought out and covers most simple repair jobs around the house. It would make a great choice for a college dorm, apartment, craft room, vehicle, or as a first tool kit for a new homeowner. At the current list price of $17.99, I think this is a very good value. You get a useful assortment of tools that should handle most everyday repairs without spending a lot of money. This tool set is for me, and I’m really happy with it. I use basic tools on a regular basis, and while I always put everything back where it belongs, my husband does not.
