The putty knives work very well, the mud pan is sturdy. The "hawk" is absolutely useless, but not really necessary when you plan on using the pan instead. After two skim coats in the living room, the largest taping knife bent at the handle, but I was admittedly applying a lot of pressure on it while working. For the price and depending what you need to get accomplished, this is a fine starter set until you find the need to purchase more professional equipment. ... show more

Too much heat affected zone at welds shows different color that is not polished on the inside and outside. A different brand actually polishes this area or just welds it better. If you are going to make something, put some more processes in place to make it near perfect.
