Here's what I like about Dekala’s White Noise sound machine/sunrise alarm clock: 1. Love the gradual sunrise feature for the alarm clock, such a gentle way to wake up! 2. I can select one of the white noise sounds to use as an alarm instead of the typical beep or ringing sounds. 3. Alarm and clock functions can be programmed manually, no need for the app. 4. The ability to set an alarm for just the weekdays! (Great for my school aged kid) 5. The clock face numbers are not too large, so it is not distracting in a dark room. 6. There is a built-in battery, I unplugged the unit for almost 4 days. The correct time and alarm clock came back on after plugging the clock back in. I liked almost everything about this clock, there were only a couple of minor items that I was not fond of: 1. If Wi-Fi isn’t set up, the Wi-Fi icon will flash continuously. 2. There is a gradual sunset feature, which will gradually turn off the lamp and turn down the sound machine. But I found that the lowest sound level is still a bit too loud for my taste, so I ended up not using the sunset function.

The Dekala white noise sunset clock has a satisfying array of 'sunlight' and does get extremely bright! The clock interface and knobs are regrettably cheap feeling, and this clock relies on the app. I'm not sure if I was supposed to receive an instruction manual, but I don't have one, and when I went to the company's website, this is the only sunlight clock NOT listed. This is unfortunate, as the website has an abundance of information about their other products. I would have preferred a digital interface over having this product rely on the app.

This works great as a night light/alarm clock/noise machine/bluetooth speaker. I like the look of it and I like that I can use this to replace several separate devices in one. It is nice sized but small enough to make the perfect night stand companion The light gets really bright and can be dimmed to make a nice night light. The light gets bright enough to replace a small lamp I usually use, and it has a wide range of brightness that is easily controlled with a turn knob In addition, it has a sunrise/sunset function that pairs well with the alarm clocks and noise machine features. It can be set to gradually increase or decrease brightness over a set time. I like to keep my room pitch black to help me fall asleep so this really works great in the mornings to add a little extra to the alarm and help me get out of bed. It can store two alarms to go off daily or specific days of the week The sunset feature is nice along with the noise settings. There are several sounds to choose from and it can also be used as a bluetooth speaker for listening to your own music or podcasts. It can be set on a timer that gradually decreases the volume and brightness which helps gradually bring me down for sleep. I have a tendency to scroll on my phone when I get in bed, so this helps me put the phone down as it gets darker, and I always need some kind of noise to help me fall asleep so this takes the place of a stand alone noise maker I have been using The speaker on this is pretty good quality for this type of device. It gets pretty loud and I like that I can connect to my phone to listen to podcasts or music Overall I am impressed with the quality of this. The controls are a little hard to figure out because it has a set of push buttons as well as two turn knobs that control various functions, but it comes with a detailed set of instructions to walk through all the various settings and controls, and it only takes a few times to learn how to set the various functions. I appreciate the detailed instructions with pictures as so many of the electronics I buy now have little to no instructions included

This alarm clock has a lot of bells and whistles. You have to download an app for it which is very intuitive and easy to use and has an extremely pleasant spa-like interface. You could try to set the alarm from the clock itself but the app has all the functionality available. There are preprogrammed settings that combine music/noise with the lights for falling asleep, doing yoga, waking up and a couple of others. And it seems you can also program your own combinations of sounds (it has an extensive selection of sounds including ones like “hairdryer” and “vacuum cleaner” for anyone who has those kinks :-) ) into custom settings. You can adjust the volume on the sounds— particularly important for people who need their alarm LOUD to wake up. The light to wake you up gets quite bright as well. You are supposed to have 2.4G WiFi to use it but we have 5.0 and it still works— at least when we use the app standing next to the clock. Overall, I think this is a solid alarm clock with a lot of great features. The app is truly a game changer as it makes programming the clock so much easier than clocks you have to program manually.
