Love my new sink, we decided on drop in because of the beauty of the design of the sink. I did not want to lose the edging details by undermounting it. We had to make some cuts to our granite to accomodate, but it was worth it for the finished look. I love it.

Item Shape: 32" x 20" Single Bowl-Rectangular
So, I got the biggest sink that Deer Valley makes for a kitchen, a hefty 32” X 20” monster that is almost as big as my shower stall. That is 45” by 24,” so think about that. I could wash just about any sized child up to about four years of age, and literally almost any sized pet. I love the weight, feel and smooth finish on this 80 pound behemoth. I’ve only put in a couple of heavier sinks than this one, and that was the Shaw Farmhouse sink with apron from England. That sink weighs in at almost 150 pounds, but frankly, at three times the price of the Deer Valley, this just as lovely and sleek white beauty is the far better option. The sink can be under mounted or dropped in, which is nice, but in either case, additional wood bracing will be needed in your cabinet. Usually a well secured and supported two by four crossmember across the middle away from the drain will suffice, but you don’t want to take any chances if and when this 3.1 cubic foot puppy is filled with water and weighs an additional 185+ pounds. The strainer basket and sink bottom grid that comes with this sink is stainless steel and of superior quality. Basically, you will never have to replace this sink due to wear and tear. This baby is also fired at 2900 degrees Fahrenheit for 24 hours to give it a tough finish that resists cracking, chipping and staining. You’d be hard pressed to damage this sink with normal everyday use, though I’m sure there are plenty of not so bright lights out there who could. Maybe I should clarify that a sink like this Deer Valley CAN last you a lifetime if you take a bit of care to treat it well. Don’t drop cast iron pans into it from a few feet away because you forgot the handles on those things get hot. Ya feel me? Anyway, well worth the price for what you get, and my bathroom sink, also reviewed here on Amazon by me, is a beautiful Deer Valley pedestal model, so I have a past with this company. I find their sinks to be of excellent build quality, workmanship and constructed of high grade materials. I most definitely and confidently recommend this sink. ... show more

This is a beautiful sink. Very deep and well-made. This sink is heavy and one person can not install it alone. It can be installed either top mount or under mount which is nice. I think this sink will last a lifetime. Would recommend
