Geezz, what can I say to add to all these already wonderful reviews... well, I will say that my kids and I are avid RC Car and Plane Hobbyists. We buy and play with the BIG BOY toys that cost a lot of money. Still, I had the opportunity to review this unit, so I thought, WHY not?!? I love the concept of the wheels being able to do 360-degree spins. Well, we were not disappointed. When we received the unit, it was packaged like any other toy car you'd buy from the toy store. Honestly, I wasn't expecting much. After we unpacked the unit and put the batteries in, we didn't even need to read the direction, it was obvious and intuitive how to control the unit. First, we drove it in our basement on level concrete floor. To my surprise, this little guy had some prep! What fun it was to drive around, doing epic drifts and spins. Even crashing into obstacles didn't harm it one bit even at high speed. Fantastic. next we tried it on carpet. Mmmm, not recommended unless you have a low no shag carpet. Next, we when out to the driveway. Ours is long (150ft) and it made it the entire way, no problem. The batteries lasted about 20mins running it at high speed all the time, but you can get longer on it if you are driving it moderately. Overall, I have to say, I am keeping this little guy for our collection. Normally I donate review units to local churches, but this one is staying here - it’s just to fun! It's amazing what they can do for reasonably priced RC toys these days. This car has the most features I've found so far in this price range. The remote has a lot of buttons. There's obviously the forward/back and left/right steering controls. But there are also switches to turn on and off the "smoke", the engine sounds, the headlights and taillights, and the blue lights in the wheels. There are also a total of 6 switches for drifting, on top a left and right drift, and then there's are 4-position drift switches on the bottom. The vehicle is of solid construction and a decent weight. It is made for flat surfaces so it's not good on dirt or grass. I got used to the controls pretty quickly, but it'll take a while to master the drifting with the turning. The car is set to do 360-degree spins from the steering control. That's the only problem I had with it, is that if you want to make a left or right turn it turns very quickly so the steering is extremely sensitive. I'll have to learn how to use the drifting features more for better control on turns. It goes pretty fast, but it won't win any races. But you should have fun drifting and spinning with this RC car. ... show more

This makes you rethink how a car should work. I've seen concept cars that can move horizontally, but will never be able to drive one in my lifetime. My first impression. This toy car is actually built very well. The shell is thicker than most rc cars. The shape and light placement is amazing. Truly futuristic. The lights are very visible in a well lit room. They even manage to put lights inside these special turning wheels. It has a nice weight. The battery screw doesn't unscrew all the way out, so you won't lose it. The remote control is responsive with plenty of options to control the car's features. There is a dance mode. I guess if you want to showcase what it can do. The back has a smoke effect which is just a mini water humidifier. The package even includes an extra battery. This car really takes the fun into another level. Unlike other rc cars, you don't have a limitation when it comes to turning radius. I can imagine racing with these cars would require a different kind of driving skill. Easily 5 stars. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This thing gets around pretty good and the lights are cool. There are sounds, which others have mentioned, that you can thankfully turn on/off. As far as these types of RC cars go this car seems pretty durable, meaning it can take some bumps and crashes, unlike other cars where it's sort of a thin, barely there plastic shell just covering wires and a chassis. I will mention it scuffs pretty easily and the blue unit I received appeared to have a few scuffs or scratches straight out of the box. One cool thing to mention, or at least as it's been my experience, is that I ordered two of these cars (blue x1, white x1) so I could race with my son, and there seems to be an intelligent frequency thing going on with the controls so they sync with whatever car your using or find a second frequency if one's being used. All to say the two cars connect and race side by side with no issues. I did not try the simulated "smoke" feature so cant really comment yet. And I will also mention we ran the cars for at least 30 mins with no power issues. The rechargeable batteries (two included with each car) charged relatively quickly, I want to say maybe 2 hours, but are kind of a pain to close up inside the car. Not impossible just kind of awkward while trying to tuck the wiring away and closing/securing the lid back down. Cool cars. Hope this review helps. ... show more

This is a nice, fun little remote control car. The car was easy to remove from the packaging and the car and remote came with a charging cable. The remote itself is a really sensitive to touch, almost too much so that it is moving/going when you have barely touched one of the buttons. The battery life was good and my son was able to play for about 15 straight minutes before the battery died. The design of the car allows it to take bumps and rolls without any damage.
