I have flown fixed and collective pitch RC "hobby quality" helis for 5 years. This diminutive "toy quality" chopper flies as well as any of the fixed pitch variety. It does great turns, pirouettes, and funnels. If replaceable parts were available and a decent hobby quality controller, it would, perhaps, be a leading contender for best starter helicopter. It is stable (the altitude hold is great), easy to control, precise in its movements, and just a general delight to fly. It is superb indoors, but can be flown outside in minimal wind conditions. The game style controller is too small and the sticks too short, but otherwse I highly recommend this chopper to anyone 12 years old or older. ... show more

    • A little challenging but fun
I’m a first time flyer and for me it was a little bit challenging. Directions are pretty good at telling you how to fly it. I don’t believe this is a good one for a child but children these days are a lot more advanced so. I had no problem getting it off the ground but it was hard for me to keep it stable but really I had no idea what I was really doing being my first time. It was however quite fun . I tried it inside first ididnt want to loose it outside but it seems a little flimsy even know I didn’t break anything. All in all it was fun and I can only get better at it. ... show more

    • More realistic helicopter with lateral control
I have tried the standard rc helicopters, three from different manufacturers. Up, down, forward, back, left, right with no side slip. I bought four of this model, very durable, decent flight time.

    • Do not waste your money
Worked great for 30 minutes and the the bottom propellers stopped spinning. Wouldn’t leave the ground.

It seems like a really cool helicopter. Only problem is that it's missing the back rotor, so it doesn't fly forward. Really disappointed on that.

    • It's ok
It barely gos forward ,very slow. It's fine backwards and side to side, up and down. Auto take off and landing is cool, just very slow forward flight.

    • Easy to fly, durable
I havent owned one of these style of helicopters for probably 15 years. This one does not disappoint. It scoots around my living room very well, is easy to fly and the couple crashes I've done havent hurt it a bit. The battery (comes with 2) charges pretty fast and you can keep this thing up in the air for hours every day if you wanted to, with the 2 supplied batteries. It also has a dedicated take off and landing button if you have a hard time with those things. I tried that out once or twice, it seems to work well although I like to be the one in control of those procedures. ... show more
