I have had this car for a couple of weeks now, and I love it. But before the review, one note: A few days into owning the car, I flipped it onto snow and the body broke near one of the holes for the connector rods (see picture). I contacted DEERC, and after sharing a picture and my order number, they sent me a new body, free of charge (the one in the bag in the picture). It took about 2 weeks to arrive, but it did come from overseas. Overall, I am very pleased with the speed and efficiency of their customer service. If you buy this car, you can know that they will stand behind their product. Back to the review. This car is extremely powerful, quick, fast, tough (besides the body cracking), and fun. I have driven it through snow and got it wet inside, and it still has no problems, so it is definitely water resistant. It has 4 wheel drive with metal differentials, so the wheels can spin at different speeds to help with cornering. Also, the batter connects securely and has a strap to hold it in. I attached the optional wheelie bar to the back, as every time you floor it, it does a wheelie. There are 2 speed modes on the remote, 70 percent and 100 percent. I usually use it on 70, and it is still plenty fast and can do a wheelie. On 100 percent I clocked it at 22 mph with my phone attached to it as a speedometer (so probably more like 25 since my phone is heavy). The remote also has a steering trim adjustment, a throttle, a wheel to steer, and a button to turn on the headlight on the car (super bright at night). The range is probably about 100 feet (not super good, but not bad either). The car is small enough that by the time it is that far away, it is hard to tell which way it is facing. The car also has oil filled shocks that feel nice, and when you are going forward and push the reverse throttle, the car brakes to a stop without continuing to back up. Finally, the rear wheels on the car are slightly angled in, which I have read online helps to corner better. Included with the car is: the car, the car body, 2 batteries (I get almost 20 min out of each one), a charger, 8 connecting pins for the body (it uses 4 so 4 extra), a wheelie bar and screws to attach it, a hex tool, a screwdriver, and a manual. I have jumped this car, landed it upside down, rolled it, and had a lot of fun. The one piece that did crack was replaced free of charge, which proved they have good customer service. I highly recommend this car for anyone wanting to get into rc car hobbying without spending $300 for a traxxas or other name brand car. Great customer service and great product. ... show more

Best value for similar cars under different brands. Super fast and I'm sure there are better cars for more expensive prices, esepcially in the hobby world, but for what you get these for, its a no brainer. DEERC is cheaper but as good or better parts, and their customer service is excellent. I've had to get all kinds of parts for various reasons and it's easy as it could possibly be. This thing is so fast I'm not able to use it inside my house, just outside, otherwise I will be crashing everywhere lol. It looks very sturdy and battery life is not awesome but it is not awful either.

I did test it off-road in the yard one day and it got beat up yet still rolling. It's very fast but the controls of it you can't drive it a certain way but it's still fun. Between reverse and forward you have to stop but ehhh it rolls. The outer shell sucks super thin and the clips sucks they all fall out or to hard to put in and out... Still fun yet it makes this loud sound on the shaft and this is all in one day but it's still rolling fast and loud had to tape the shell from breaking in half. JUST BUY THE BETTER VERSION UNLESS YOU JUST AINT GOT IT BUT STILL TOUGH GREAT CAR FOR A BEGINNER LIKE ME ... show more

I have had this for about 2 and a half months now. Didn't rate durability because 2 and a half months isn't really a lot of time when you invest in a pretty expensive and honestly unnecessary toy. Typical <$150 1/16th scale layout, single chassis piece with the arms that lead to the wheels. Oil-filled shocks, which i enjoy for jumps(I got ripped off on the last rc car that had "aluminum oil-filled shocks" because it had pure plastic, no oil, except for the springs). Battery lasts about 15-25 minutes for me, it's 2s li-po's(no 3s)(2s is 7.4 volts) with 1500mah. If you buy this, put on wheelie bar first so you don't ruin the body on the first run lol. ... show more
