My son got this hefty looking jeep for his 4th birthday and it can honestly take some punishment. He can't steer it so it does a lot of crashing into walls and so far it's held up really well! It's actually very light so it's easy for my son to tote it around and the lights & mist make it super fun. My only complaint is that the battery power doesn't last as long with the kind of playing my kid does, with the aggressive driving and lights/mist going. BUT it came with 2 batteries to alternate between, so that's a plus. ... show more

Steering control arms are plastic and fragile. After superglue I found epoxy works best for repair. After two months of abuse (from a three year old!) catastrophic wheel failure. My amazon return date had expired. I called DeeRC customer service and they promptly got back to me! I was just hoping to get replacement parts and they are sending me an entire new truck! My 11 year old got this for Christmas. He loves it. You can put water in it and the steam will look like exhaust coming from the truck. It has already survived water puddles and rough, sandy surfaces, as well as high carpet. Seems very durable.
