I shopped around and ultimately decided on this DEERC brand as it had the brushless motor and was decently priced. I was looking for something to get started with RC car wise without breaking the bank. First impressions the car is really nice out of the box. It looks nice and appears to be built well. Mind you it is essentially built out of all plastic parts. Now searching on amazon and other sites if you just look up 1/18th scale most of these parts are inter changeable with upgradable aluminum parts. As stuff breaks I will most likely order these to try. Will update my review as this happens. The second part was when I ordered this I saw the shocks were oil filled. Now I didn't get the impression they came prefilled so I got a small bottle of 35 weight shock oil just in case. I am really glad I did! When I pulled one of the shocks off and compressed it, the feeling was awful. It felt like metal on metal and wasn't smooth in the slightest. If you see my screenshot the stuff they put in was like super thick, almost like Vaseline. This would have never flowed down and onto the piston to even provide a smooth ride. I basically cleaned it out with a qtip that came out in thick globs. I filled it with the 35 weight oil I got and re assembled. After a few compressions it felt completely different! Nice and smooth and gave a nice response. If you want this to survive any type of jumps or bumps please please please replace whatever the garbage is they put in these shocks! Next the controller. It is literally a very cheap super light weight 2.4ghz controller, nothing fancy. Honestly if I dropped it on concrete it would probably break. I will more than likely look for a heavier better quality one to replace the one that came with. For now it functions and works. Battery life. I haven't driven it enough to truly give my thoughts on the life of it. I have driven it lightly around our house and out in our back yard on one charge so far. So that was probably 15+ minutes. For me battery life seems fine. I will update this if I feel differently later on. Drivability. I have taken this out in my backyard which is currently a bit overgrown, 4-5 inches of grass. It is small enough and the tires it does get stuck, but overall it does climb over stuff pretty well and that is at half power. It has a decent amount of power and I haven't even gone full power yet. So far I really like it, I am still getting use to the controller and steering. Overall I would give this a 4 star. I dont hate it. I am hoping I can upgrade the plastic components and this will be a good racer for my son after I move to something bigger. The one thing that really did bother me was the whatever they used in the shock is not an acceptable oil. Without changing it out I can see why multiple people have had parts break. Come on guys put in some decent oil and not cheap out, it cant be that much more expensive.... ... show more

1) Great power and battery life. Still haven’t needed to use 2nd battery. 2) I’m still growing into its power 3) Durable! As I tease and tantalize my 60lb dog with it, she tries to kill and shread the lil truck but hasn’t succeeded! It’s taking the abuse. Downside: it’s a little small making it hard to control. Would look at other trucks from this manufacturer for a bigger truck. ... show more

Deerc has the best customer service I have ever dealt with!! Due to the problems I have on my 302e, the company is sending me a new car. I love this car and it's a challenge to keep going in a straight on any terrain. It's like a real car with a big hi performance engine in a small economy car!! I can't wait till the new one arrives so I can have some more fun. Speaking of customer service, I have another Deerc rc car and after having it a couple weeks the motor locked up. Deerc sent me a new motor, no charge, no questions asked and no "red tape". That vehicle is working fine now. Anyone want a good rc car with excellant customer service, buy a Deerc!! UPDATE MAY 1 2023 I recently bought two compact 3S lipo batteries for my 1/10 and 1/12 scale rc cars. The 302e is plenty fast and fun on 2S, but I just had to see how it performs with the 3S. I managed to secure it to the chassis and WOW, what a difference. It was so fast I had a hard time controlling it on a parking lot. On grass, it bounces around too much. And I'm not a newbie to the hobby, if I was, my 302e would most likely be totaled. This IS A FUN CAR!!!! UPDATE May05 - This is one tough little car!!!! After over an year of fun, on and off road, this little beast still looks brand new. Nothing is broken, bent etc after all the running time!! I think its made pretty tough in order to handle the high speed on a small car. Just like the headline stated, the car is very fast for it's size which makes it a challenge to drive without crashing. I recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap but fast and durable little car. 5 stars+++ ... show more

    • Quick but not as quick as advertised.
I will start with I have had several Traxxas RC cars in the past both Nitro and electric. I wanted to get back into the RC hobby just a little and didn't want a slow car. This little car is quick, not 60kmh (36mph) quick probably closer to 20 ish mph. That's still decently fast and for what this thing is I can't complain. I picked it up for $80 on sale and feel like it was worth every bit of it just wish they would be realistic with their speed. I will likely try a better battery in the future but for now will see how much I enjoy it. After the one run around the yard today I am going to do what many suggested and replace the shock oil. These shocks really don't do much in the current form. ... show more
