This thing is AMAZING! PROs: It has outstanding ground clearance; it has drive motors for the front AND rear wheels so I guess you could call it a 4x4 or 4Wheel Drive; It comes with 2 rechargeable batteries so while playing with one you can charge the other; Solid and durable suspension; has cool little headlights; Solid metal body that takes a beating. CONs: Battery life isn't bad, but could be better- but remember they did give two batteries so not sure this is exactly a con, and it has multiple drive motors so i wouldn't expect each charge to last as long as other cars using one motor; steering is a little slow and could be improved upon; and Top speed leaves you wanting just a little bit more- but this is more of a rock crawler than a Pre-runner. Remote distance could be improved upon but also isnt horrible. In the end, despite what i consider very minor cons, this thing is just amazing and is unstoppable! IMO its worth the <$40 they are asking. If they improved the batteries and the drive motors I would say 5-stars, and if the range was extended as well, then definitely 5-stars AND a bargain! ... show more

True 4x4, I've set up little courses and made fun little "trails" and it goes everywhere. The remote is a little flimsy/cheap feeling, but other than that I've been very pleased with this RC buggy. I've brought it out at parties and everyone wants to try it out and has a blast. It's a good little rc car, my kids love running it around, and the two batteries make it nice to swap when the other is low, but you'll likely burn through the 2nd battery before the first one is charged again, so run time is limited. It runs through tall grass with no real issues too. The overall quality of it though feels light and towards the cheap side, but it does work. This truck is an absolutely incredible deal. It is awesome. Nothing near this price even comes close. If you’re looking for a fun easy to use monster truck for kids without breaking the bank, this is it. If you’re looking for a fun easy to use monster truck for adults without breaking the bank, this is it. It has enough power to drive up a slide, and enough grit to fly off the other side, hit the ground, roll a timer or two, and keep going. The only real downsides are minor. In order for the truck to go right I have to turn the wheel more forcefully than I do for it to go left. There’s no graduation with steering. It’s either full right or full left, but all the cars at this price point and higher are the same. The screw that keeps the battery lid shut will come out all the way when you open the cover so make sure you have a handout to catch it. They could’ve use the kind of screw where it stays in, but that’s so minor. The headlights are bright enough to drive at night. It’s big, at 1:12, and it’s quick – kind of – I guess 10 or 12 miles an hour. If you have wide-open space in your house, then it’s an indoor car too. In my house it goes too fast to avoid crashing into stuff, but it’s at his best. I cannot recommend this truck highly enough. I would’ve guessed it was a $60 or $75 toy. ... show more

The highlight here is definitely the 4WD capability – it handles grass and curbs with ease! pretty cool! The electric motors might not be the biggest so it's not incredibly fast, but the torque is enough to conquer rocks or debris with its four-wheel drive setup. I'd say it's more of a crawler than a racer, pretty neat little RC. The shell is metal so it takes a beating, it's fun flipping it off of things and not having to worry about the durability. Now, I'm tagging this with 4 stars for the parents - while it's a darn good time occupying toy, I wouldn't let kids near the USB charger or battery housing. Quite literally as thin as a thread. The wires would pop out of the USB plug easily. If the charger goes the whole thing is toast. So I had to do a little DIY with electrical tape to keep them secure where they connect to the pigtails. ... show more

Although it's tough in some aspect, other areas are a tad bit on the cheaper quality side. But for the cost, you can't go wrong. It was ordered initially for when the grandson comes over but we may have to order a second car for those barbecue and adult beverage nights . Performance is good and quickly gets the guys into competitive mode like a bunch of big kids!! Great set up to pass a good time ... show more
